Why is it that when pirates are the the subject Dutch pirates barely get a mention. The Sea Beggars who kept the Dutch Revolt alive, Piet Hein who is the only person ever to capture the Spanish treasure fleet, The Dutch Barbary pirates who ruled the Moroccon Republic of Salé and various famous Dutch buccanneers like Roche the Braziliano deserve some attention in a documentary like this

There's no pirate like Barbarossa and no dashing naval victory like his at Preveza, a true icon and one of my favorite admirals alongside Togo and Yi Sun Sin (Died in battle like Dragut)

Agreed Barbarossa was the pirate top dog. Dude drove out Spain and took over Algeria. Also enabled the ottomans to control the Mediterranean. Dude was savage.

Hayreddin Barbarossa single handedly made Europeans shit their pants whenever they discussed launching a new crusade 😅
The Ottomans really knew how to create leaders.

Camels were introduced to Egypt around 700BC through the Assyrian invasions and occupations. There were no Bronze Age camels in Egypt of any significant number.

Including the Story of Patrick, who was kidnapped and enslaved by Irish pirates (possibly joining them for a bit), would have bridged Late Antiquity and the Viking Age nicely.

I think you missed a great chance to mention about Hyruddin or better known as Barbarossa to the Europeans. Man who controlled almost all of Mediterranean, the King of Algeria, Captain that rivalled even the greats like Sulaiman the Magnificent and King Philip the second of Spain, Fleet Admirals for the Ottoman that challenged the coalition of Spain, France and Italy and came down at the champion.
    Barbarossa is a legend.
