This musician has made me literally burst out crying dozens of times in the last two weeks of going through the 1,000+ performances that are on here on youtube. I don't think any other musician has done this to me this much in 65 years of listening to music.
Very well done, you captured their energy and grittiness of that early Tull era. Nice playing. I don't think most people understand how much ass Tull kicked.
OMG- Just stumbled across this. This song is one of my all time favorites. This young lady knocked me out with her guitar playing. Awesome. Just beyond words.
This has turned into one of the most-covered Tull songs, and that's down to Martin Barre a lot more than it is to Ian Anderson. Great version done here!
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a method to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot my account password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
what I like, especially, about Chantel is her relaxed, almost calm, playing ----- unlike most of us frustrated guitarists who have to "work" at getting the notes right!
I just learned of Chantel 3 days ago and have been checking out her videos since then. The more I watch, the more I am loving her playing and singing. Now, I just need to figure out a way to kidnap her from the Brits and get her over here to the States. :D Thanks for posting this great video.
Just found out about this brilliant player today... she has revived the classic British Blues style and gave it a hearty kick in the bum by channeling the spirit of Rory Gallegher.
@graeme312 Not sure if you know but Chantel & the band are playing "The Tunnels" in Aberdeen on Fri 22nd Oct. They're playing six gigs in Scotland starting @ Kinross on Oct 20th - Check out her website for full details. Have been to their last four gig....speaks volumes as to my opinion of the band.

I can’t stand how cool this is!!! I had Jethro Tull’s Stand Up as a kid and this was one of my favorite songs. She crushed it!
Its a cover of Bonamasa version not of Tull :)

I grew up with my dad playing Tull constantly. Great stuff! Own the whole catalogue.
Damn! She can play!!
That has to be the best version of that song I've heard. Thank you

WHAT?!! A chick doing a great Tull tune - hot guitar AND vocals - man I got chills watching this !!!
This video never gets old. Such a nice cutting edge to Chantel's playing. :)

Was Martin will tull when this was written? I think Martin didn't join until "Aqualung" didn't he?
@@UnityFromDiversity Martin joined Tull for their second album, "Stand Up", in 1969. Aqualung was their 4th album, 1971.
@@fabrikk60 ok thanks

This is the best 9 minutes Ive spent in a year. Wow! And Fuck yeah!!!! Righteous!
Totally awesome I could live and die this kind of music and it will be all good and she was a great performer all around❤
Fantastic to see her cover this forgotten old Jethro Tull song. And what a job she does!
I don't know about "forgotten" ? It's always been right up there on my play list - maybe "forgotten" by anyone under 60 ?
it's cover of a cover- joe bonamasa's version of his old bands song
and it's done brilliantly. Really excellent music on these guys
4 sure ... The Stand Up Album , and Tull can do this live note for note , Nothing is Easy too ... ruclips.net/video/x9JdK9VjxCI/видео.html
Not forgotten by me. Original still the best. Now if she had broken into Jeffrey Goes to Lecester Square...then I'd be even more impressed.
