Watching/listening to this while waiting for my 21 to get delivered end of next month I started looking at what brake replacment parts would run as thats usually a more costly maintnece piece and over all seems pretty average in my eyes. Comming from a '16 Mx5, i just did all the basic stuff and just changed rotors/pads in May at 35k (i dont drive a lot) Aside from that, winter wheel setup and new summer rubber were the two most expensive things I spent for all daily driver stuff but tires are always going to ding you no matter what car you drive. Dont plan any modding the sti engine so everything will be done through the dealer as Im too lazy getting up in age. Plus, like you mentioned, itd be all documented maintenece through the dealer which is peace of mind for possible next owner. Only thing im not looking forward to is the mpg hit. I get 30-32 right now so ill be hurting until i get used to it. Lol
It's really not exorbitant if you DIY all or most service. I just did all four brakes on my 2016 WRX (Centric disks and Hawk HPS pads) for $450, while the dealer wanted $300 to just do rear pads. Fun cars like STIs do indeed cost more more to run versus basic people movers though.
Much agreed! It is cheaper to do the bigger ticket maintenance items yourself. Although, sometimes it's easier due to the limited time one has. All relative to their skill-set and available time.
Scoobyfreak86 haha okay fair enough... but I’ve seen people that have cars with factory Brembo or other monoblock high performance brake systems almost die when they hear of the cost of the parts... and then freak out when they realize they cant get the parts they need at some big box parts store... I guess that’s the price you pay if you want the “good stuff” loll
I know you've probably addressed this already, multiple times, but what rims are you running? That car looks beautiful.
They are Enkei rs05rr’s

If you do a spark plug change, can you post it?
Yes sir
It's a "ship in a bottle" job for sure. Make sure you have plenty of extensions and swivel joints close to hand.
Christ you the main man!
Gotta pay to play haha 🤘 I'm dropping a new vid on Monday I hope you'll check it too bru!
more than YOU can afford, PAL. SUBARU
Lmaooo...love that movie
Don't use the Subaru blue filters!! JDM always use black!!! There's only a few bucks difference but definitely a better filter. :)

Haha that’s why I always say there’s a big difference between be able to buy a car and affording a car.
