I have that much more respect for Jim Kilpatrick speaking his mind then those who deprive a man from freedom of speech. Life isn't fair, we have all had our feelings hurt, oh well, grow a set, if not, then order a set. RSVP should be ashamed of themselves by over stepping their boundaries.
Dont worry jim we all still love you. Week in week out band members complain and say how ridiculous their result was due to poor judging. But the one time u say it you get slated for it,ur the man
A proper gentlemen who shows that an apology is a good example to others. Thus, the pitfalls of the modern social media era, one must be careful about what they say.
The right to freely speak your mind, wherever and however one pleases, is a hallmark of a free, democratic, progressive, open, tolerant society that is concerned with the greater good. In Western Europe and the Americas we have been working this for over 500 years. Anything less, is a hallmark of repressed, closed societies; where what is good for the few is good for the many. I dont know (or give a tinkers) what you said Jim, but I will defend to the hilt your right to say it. :/
Harsh punishment indeed Jim, especially given it's timing - although I suspect that's exactly what the powers-that-be had in mind when they passed judgement. Oh well, it'll give someone else a chance to win this year! ;) I'm sure you'll be back, as strong as ever in 2013. Good luck to you and all at Shotts and Dykehead.

The pipe band association should be ashamed of a lot more than this

Does anyone know exactly what he vented about on Facebook? Why did the pipe major/Serjeant leave then?
