I enjoyed listening to author Matt de La Peña reading his book. It brought another dimension to storytelling. I also appreciate having his first grade daughter brought in later to answer why she enjoys reading. I can’t wait to share this video with my six-year-old granddaughter, especially after reading her “Milo Imagines The World” two days ago, in preparation to her seeing the world premiere musical, of the same name, one day afterwards.
Just bought this book for My 6 year old for his Birthday which is today! I love it, he loves it! Amazing story reminding children to choose imagination over impression.
What a wonderful book! I love listening to Matt read his books. He is calm, and has a kindness and gentleness. This also comes through in his stories as well. His daughter is adorable too! I will definitely be purchasing this!
It’s a sad story about a screwed up kid because his moms in jail for whatever reason. It’s a reminder to all parents to grow up and be responsible adults.
