I think peppino never was a hero, instead an antihero or something. He didnt tried to save the world from Pizzaface or something, he just wanted to stop him from probably destroying his restaurant He didnt cared about how much enemies have him beated or how he destroyed the tower
It still amazes me how much this matches so well to the original web comics while also adding in some new parts that make it more fun. If Noisette ever had a tv show like her husband this would possibly be the biggest example of her wish coming true.
What makes this animation perfect is that in addition to being identical to the original comics, Peppino's voice actor is very VERY good, the "Yaaaaaaooowww" he makes is super similar to the scream in the game, man, seriously congratulations

noisette is a lot like fake peppino actually * they're both slightly off variants of existing characters, with names to match (fake "peppino", "the noise"-ette) * they're both nigh-invulnerable and refuse to give up even once they're past 0 hp * their bodies twist and break in impossible ways, even moreso than their mainline counterparts (fake peppino takes off his head, noisette produces extra feet) * they're both very mysterious
