The were comms pop-ups following your jump that noted numerous 'digital security breaches' during the Vohle jump....maybe it was sabotage? Oh well! Let the survivors think they destroyed humanity. I'm sure it'll be fine! lol Thanks for the member early-access video!
20:20 One could say NESW, but more accurately would be "inwards, outwards, prograde, retrograde", being towards Sol, away from Sol, In front of us in orbit, and behind us in orbit, respectively.
Are the developers going to develop a sandbox mode where you can jump from system to system? Adding some random encounters, let you build the ship out longer with more "living modules," and more ships to your fleet? Maybe some multiplayer options against rogue ships/fleets?
This game is really cool, wow. Ive been looking for a game of late and I think this might be something worth getting into. Also, well done on your intro and outros. Really cool
I've held off on watching these so I wouldn't get the game spoiled till I had a chance to play myself, and now I'll looking forward to catching up on the next few episodes!
IF you think about it, where did the ship jump to?? I had the impression that it jumped to another galaxy or at least outside our Solar System, but it starts in our Solar System, but it didn't, so where did it go??? Or when did it come back?
For space it would be spinward anti spinward (following and going against the orbits), as well as coreward/'sunward and rimward (for being closer or further from the sun or the core, depending on if you are talking about in a system or galaxy)
I LOVE how this game looks. Sadly I suck at these types of games. At least when there’s a way to lose like running out of food or damaging the ship enough to die. My organizational skills are horrible. Which is why I typically wait for mods for these games to play them. Like for example for this game that would be like a no hunger/SUPER high production food farm mod and a no hull damage mod. People like to argue that it ruins the game then but for me it makes it less stressful and let’s me just focus on having fun building and expanding. This is why I wish the developers of these games always put in a casual mode where you don’t have to worry about “losing” the game essentially. That way people like me can play the game right away without having to wait on mods. And sometimes these games NEVER add workshop support and so we can never play them that way anyway unless the game files can be edited to give a ridiculously high amount of food/hull health so we never have to worry. But usually it’s not that easy with games like this
Definitely wait then. I love this game already (loved Frostpunk, beat it on hardest difficulty), but it is absolutely slapping me in this first chapter. :|
I would assume induction furnaces are being used since they only require AC electricity to operate. It's still a hot environment but there aren't fires all over the place.
Also, for some reason I can’t find a join button anywhere on your channel to become a channel member. I don’t know if it’s a glitch with RUclips’s mobile app right now or what, but yeah I don’t have a join button anywhere on your channel
@@WhatDarrenPlays it shows up on other channels though. At least it used to. Haven’t checked any that I know used to have it since I noticed yours didn’t so I don’t know. Weird lol
I think it has to be on desktop only, a few people today said it doesnt appear on the mobile app. Web browser on phone may work. It should be on almost every video next to subscribe but this link also works ruclips.net/user/whatdarrenplaysjoin
I think you are playing a different version of the game compared to mine. The beginning sequence was very different in yours when you had pressed new game and also there's no hull depletion for you when you open the second sector. When I open a second sector my hull depletion immediately goes into negative as I don't have a EVA in the new sector to compensate for the additional hull depletion. I had come here cos I was looking for an answer of how to have sufficient resources to expand into a second sector but unfortunately your series won't help me as there seems to have been game changes after you played. Anyway nice series done by you.
If anything my game should be harder as they patched it to make it easier after the game came out. Every opened sector costs -8 alloys. The lower your hull goes, the faster it is repaired due to efficiency. This means at full hull strength itll be negative and falling, but as it lowers, the repair rate increases. Eventually itll stabilize. So opening sector 2 doesnt require me to build another airlock, but i do anyway in the next couple episodes as its definitely needed for sector 3. Hope this somewhat helps.
@@WhatDarrenPlays Correct. You are moving spacetime around you, not you are moving in spacetime. This is the idea of warp drive. Otherwise, moving in spacetime is limited to light speed. It is impossible to move faster then light in spacetime or even with exactly light speed. It would require infinite energy because mass rises with speed and it's infinite mass if moving with light speed. Of course this is only game and I'm not sure what is explanation, if any, here.

What would 'up and down' from our orbit be? because we have NESW in all directions

I was just talking about how beautiful the Solar System is and then you destroyed Earth and the Moon with one click 😂 Good job Darren.
Defo want more of this series. Love the look and graphics and the whole solar system vibe.

Thanks!

So excited for this new series!
Im so glad that you are doing a play through of this game, i gave up after 2 hours, because fun is supposed to be fun...
I had fun!
Shit, at minute 14:12, you answered my query about the jump, you figured it the anomaly in the game about jumping back.
at 7:48 in, AITA moment hits real 😂
I liked the way how get hipped for the next episode 😂... looks like next episode will be full of problems and actions 🤔
This game looks very interesting! Thanks, for sharing :D

@@liesdamnlies3372 yeah I caved and bought it anyway when it released today. I’m on the struggle bus already and I only just unlocked sector 2 lol

Anyone else having Mass Effect 2 flashbacks from the probe launcher?
Alrready?? Thx man really appreciate what you do. keep it up : )
I know im a year late, but thank you for making this series. 👍
Appreciate you commenting on it, even this late in! Thanks, and hope you enjoy it!
Commenting to say keep it going
So basically the moon got partially spaghettified by warping space.
Seeing the moon shatter is pretty damn harrowing! Really hope this series continues. Loving it.
this ship remind me of the Nauvoo from the expense
Any plans to play Knights of Honor 2 or do a review? Looks like it has potential but seen some mixed reviews so far
Stele is pronounce as "steh-leh" it's sort of a slab with carvings
Is it possible to build a second bay ?? So u can have 2 science , 2 mining ,2 transport ships???
I would assume so
Can probably have as many as you want
Yep! And I will build another later
Man, don't you just hate it when you're using the new FTL drive and you accidentally blow up the Moon?
the biggest "oppsis" the humanity had done xD

Building to many people, lack of food, riot. Game over. Restart😅
Premise of this game is stupid AF, but gameplay seems rly engaging and fun :)
I feel so stupid asking this, how do I become a channel member? I don’t see the join button. (I’m already subscribed to your RUclips channel)

Are you on a timer? You are all over the place, calm down.
Warping space is not moving in space so Einstein's theory does not apply in this case.
That’s interesting. Bending space around you doesnt count as velocity through it then?
