- Ever wondered how to pronounce a particular French word or phrase? I'm sure you have. French pronunciation can be rather puzzling at times! And whilst google translate is often pretty accurate, it's not always so and it's quite robotic! In this video I share an amazing free resource where you'll be able to listen to any French word or phrase, pronounced by native French speakers! @@Frencheezi - we are in Washington State where the schools are closed due to covid restrictions. I couldn't abide by a 5-6 hour a day zoom meeting call, so I pulled them out. They LOVE it. We are lucky that we have some support for homeschooling from our school district. Currently, they are in an online choir class, then Harry Potter book club. I like homeschooling very much and may continue even after in-person school is in session. They are more open to making mistakes and learning from them. There is no homework as we plan our day and get things done. Not much wasted time. We get to watch you and Peppa Pig in French. We play board games to learn spelling and Geography. We are using a fantastic logic-based mathematics curriculum. I'm pretty fortunate. Have a great day!

Great! Thanks for the tip! "Reverso" is also good for translating words/phrases/dictionary/pronunciation.

I've used this site for years, love it. It has so many more words today than the early years. Also you may have to watch the results, because words can be spelled the same in different languages, but are pronounced very differently. Like I will type in a french word, not really pay attention to what I'm clicking on and go "Woah, that's not right" because the first result is the Italian word, the french one is further down.

You should find the answers to your questions in the following video I made a few years back. The basics are "le café / les oranges" means "the coffee, the oranges", "du café / des oranges" means "some coffee / some oranges".
