I’ve been going to FLL since 1988. Remember, Casablanca Cafe for fabulous food across from the gay beach, Sebastian Street beach. Funny thing, I remember when Wilton’s Manor was a trailer park and undeveloped. Of course, George’s Alibi was there and the piano bar, Tropics. Always warm, always sunny and rain in the afternoon. I wish I was there now.
I love Fort Lauderdale. I've been going there since 1998 and always enjoyed beautiful weather. I'm from the northeast and I never found a "bad time" to go to this wonderful area of Florida. I was staying on vacation in Fort Lauderdale when Sept 11th 2001 unfolded. It was strange being there because when all planes were put on the ground, Fort Lauderdale had a quietness I never experienced before or since. I guess if the world were going to end... I wouldn't mind being in Ft Lauderdale !!!! By the way, I never miss an opportunity to eat or get food from DOUGHBOYS. !! I often order "extra sauce" and they always happily oblige. YUM.
