The Fran Bow musical is pretty neat. It's based around a psychological horror adventure game called Fran Bow (obviously)

Ok, I am a HUGE Random Encounters fan. I will be leaving a long comment and I apologize. There are things that people don't know when they first watch this. First I wanna explain how I became such a huge Random Encounters fan. I watched this musical, Resident Enis and How to Beat a Monkey at Chess on October 30th 2019. I don't know why, but I didn't even sub to them at this point. But I know that on December 25th 2019, I was watching their musicals one after the other and I subbed at 1:21am. Christmas morning. I had been helping putting my siblings presents under the tree. And then on February 2nd, 2020 I started supporting them as an equivalent of a member and joined their discord. I watched all their musicals in one weekend one time, too.
7:08 this song is a running joke used constantly. When used here it causes an array of feelings but the most common ones are cringe and uncomfortable.
7:51 this is the Giant Crazy Snake! You can barely get a good look at him even if you pause the video. He is a Random Encounters iconic character.
AJ plays Purple Guy and Bonnie in this. He also writes the music, makes props, films he does pretty much everything he doesn't have other people to help with. Which he had a lot of hands on deck for this. Including David King who plays foxy and Phone Guy's phone voice. Xander who plays Freddy. Scott who is the Sweeping Man and Prop Master. He provides a lot of props to take some weight off AJ'S shoulders. At least he did til he moved.
9:58 fun fact this little bit at "Mark's House" in between night 1 and 2 was filmed later and Mark had already dyed his hair. So they had to hide his hair for those connecting scenes.
Night 2's song is everyone's favorite! Well it's sorta split between night 2 and 4, honestly.
Sweeping Man is an icon of Random Encounters' channel and he even has his own musical. He is the one Mark shot at 12:09. He survived because, well, he's the Sweeping Man and you should watch his musical. Also the cops were played by the voice actors for Freddy and Chica. Xander Mobus and Sarah Williams.
Then they had to add a scene here to explain Mark's hair color change. And it's great!
Nathan Sharp (As seen in Night 3) has been a recurring actor on Random Encounters. His first role was in Poke University as one of the Professors. He was also in Streetpass Love, Phasmaphobia, etc.
So, the reason Springtrap turned out green is because when AJ sent a reference photo to Michael Ledoux, the puppet maker (he made Bonnie,Chica, Freddy, Foxy and Springtrap.) AJ sent a photo with kinda a greenish tint to it. Michael then made it based on the color he saw in the photo. So, BLAME AJ. His fans do (affectionately.)
16:25 This is a genuine scream from Nathan. Noone knew that the balloon wall was gonna explode like that. So it shocked everyone in the room. AJ was the one recording and he even shut off the camera because he thought Nathan had been hurt or something. He had screamed that scream and fell to the floor. Haha! A moment in time that we will never see the full version of because AJ panicked. Another thing to (affectionately) blame AJ for.
Super Freddy is this FNAF universe's Golden Freddy!
Setting Springtrap on fire doesn't work (game-lore crossing into this musicals lore) Also, that shot where all the puppets slow turn is so cringe and to this day I do not know how AJ thought it was a good idea. I guess he meant it as a joke. The more I watch it the more I realize how funny it is. So I guess I do know.
Needless to say the lore in the musical's universe is VERY different from the games.

That Balloon Boy remote control car sucked! They couldn't get it working right half the time. They were almost too happy to destroy it for the shot in night 5.
"No, I'm the Uber driver for a bunch of puppets" is an iconic line that everyone in the RE fandom repeats. I even have it on a shirt. (I need a replacement as the picture is getting worn but it's no longer available)
Freddy Fazbear's is so not up to code that there is no sprinkler system.
They purposefully emptied that fire extinguisher so it wouldn't get everywhere in their house. They filmed this in their house, btw. The recorded them doing it and it's in the blooper video somewhere.
I too, was like you and wondered where Matpat was. I didn't expect to have to wait til almost the end for him. But true to form Matpat didn't disappoint in his performance.
Again, David King voiced Phone Guy when he was on the phone or had the Freddy head on. David's screams at the end give me chills EVERY TIME! He did such a good job.
35:41 The phone Nathan is holding was provided by Random Encounters' resident dead or broken cell phone provider, Malctonio. Malctonio, or Malcolm is a moderator for RE now. And has been with them since before My Date with Captain Falcon, which he also provided a cell phone for. Most cell phones in RE musicals get destroyed.
Mark having the Chainsaw flamethrower is a mystery. I can only guess that either he grabbed it from the wreckage after the fire (unlikely) or he went and bought one for himself (more likely.) AJ likes to leave little nagging mysteries like that in his musicals.
37:28 Here you can see The Beard. He is a Random Encounters Original character that predates the channel even being a concept. It predates the name Random Encounters.
Matpat is in multiple other musicals and performs amazingly for each one! I suggest you watch them! Bendy and the Ink Machine, it's Sequel, Cuphead the Musical, and How to beat a Monkey at Chess.
