Disaster Pieces

Howdy folks.
This base coat was an experiment from earlier in the year.
Metallic black, red, blue, green and purple.
This was just a little experiment to see if I could ballpark replicate a pattern.
It kinda worked. lol
It is a really nice spiral pattern.
I want to increase the rotation speed on the next one, because faster is better... right?

When you use an acrylic base coat, do you seal it with an acrylic clear coat? Will the oil based spray paint adhere to or cause problems with the clear coat?

If I use acrylic paint for my color base, I will use some enamel clear coat to prevent the water from washing away the acrylic paint. I just use the cheap clear coat from the local auto shop.
