Cool your in Maryland, I’m on the eastern shore of Maryland and I’ve had some of the same issues as this gentleman. Love your videos
Interesting feedback...do it right the first time. Surprised about wood chips delay groceries.👍👍👍
Cool info 👍
What is the best way to get rid of pines? I have similar situation on new property just not quite as tall.
I know you have probably mentioned this somewhere in your video library, but what tree species would you want to have stump sprout for deer to feed on?
I'd rather deer consume a variety of forbs than stump sprouts. However, elm and maple sprouts are often very palatable.

Thank you my plan is to go back in two years and cut the stump sprouts if necessary. But I want some cover component with some height. I tried a 1 acre area of hinge cut a couple years ago. And it was a mess the deer didn’t even care to feed on, or bed in! A lot of people like it, but in Southern Indiana woodlands the hack and squirt areas get 3 times the trail camera photos of the hinged area. I kind of wonder if that’s due to the now high population of bobcats?
@@GrowingDeerTV I have a ton of Box Elder, Black Walnut, other hardwoods and assorted 'junk trees' on my property in Michigan. I want to create bedding areas and provide browsing.
Any help would be great!
You're welcome to come by and help! It's a great property even though it's only 40 acres.
We have tulip poplar here in WV, and they LOVE the stump sprouts from these. They do hit the maple as well.
That is literally all of Maryland’s eastern shore !
