I've always liked NH combines. They do a real nice job. Clean grain sample. They just aren't as popular as I would think they would be. The new tracks setup look good and help with compaction.
Agreed you never really seen a yellow combine around here until a couple of years ago. A new New Holland dealer moved into Gratiot County and they have sold a lot of combines and it is being noticed I think you will continue to see more New Hollands around here anyway.
@@MichiganFarmPhotos The head seems to be very compact. You can hardly see it and the corn isn't that tall. Also the snouts don't seem very long. I could be wrong but it seems to me, most corn heads stick out a lot further than this one did. Looked like it did a good job even going across the rows and not with. It was a good watch!
This corn was a variety of Pioneer and with the rotodisc it was chopping the stalk and pulling it into the head instead of down through the rolls the stalks were weak that is probably the main reason it looks different.
@@MichiganFarmPhotos That must be why it seemed so different! That rotodisc technology has done a lot for corn harvesting. First in the forage, now in the combining.
No probably 99% done a couple of smaller guys still have a few fields to finish up. This footage was from a couple of weeks ago just took that long to edit the footage together.
A lot of green it seems. I've seen red farms switch over and a couple of big dairies from Fendt and Case-IH to New Holland. Nowadays it's all about product support and the New Holland dealer that came into town a couple of years ago is doing a great job of that.
Congratulations on a well done and very nice video
Thank you! And thank you for watching

Great video. That was an interesting combine & corn head.

@@MichiganFarmPhotos you must be in the heart of blue country…👍👍👍
There is getting to be a lot of blue and yellow equipment around for sure!
@@MichiganFarmPhotos replacing the green?
