    How did I miss this great music, for so long.

    Crazy full production with the horns and everything, but the songs shine thru, especially Rainbows and Ridges. This is Blaze trying to hit the big time, not realizing that his stripped down personal takes are so much more beautiful!

    Great BLAZE FOLEY !
    IT IS BLAZE FOLEY but adding extra "fringe" to the sound, all those other musicians makes it 🎉...

    Just like some of Townes' work, this album is grossly overproduced. These guys were the talent so the simpler you kept it the more of the artist showed and that was always better in my opinion.

      i agree with the simpler part. but i do love this album also. Blaze is something else.

      He wasn't there for the showcase, the production was the star, to them egos, he was just the leading lady... f corporate.

      What do you mean? How is this not Blaze

    • @johnnyp8979
      @johnnyp8979 Год назад +3

      @@vickywheeler9671 Because BLAZE in his own self is who BLAZE was, this is like "going to Hollywood" and adding stuff that some of us feel unnecessary.

      @@johnnyp8979 Yeah, just Blaze and his guitar sounds better. Maybe add a harmonica. Those live versions with the harmonica sound really good. Especially If I Could Only Fly. That's the best version. Live from Austin Outhouse.
