You said “ok” 35 times!! Loved the video as always I’m using this for my training!! And congrats on passing me on subscribers!!!! Love you my friend!!!
Thanks for this video. I'm a complete amateur, never laid a brick in my life, and I'm going to try and build a tank/pool in my backyard. Just bought a rotary hammer to remove the flakey concrete floor. And subscribed your channel, because I'm guessing i'm going to need more guidance...
Yes it did, this helped me mount up a basement wall punching bag. 👍👍will be checking and looking out for more of your great tutorials sir. Good day to you. 🫡 “subscribed” 🫡
While holding the drill, grab the end of the drill where the drill bit goes inside and pull back the black rubber collar. When you put the drill bit inside as far as you can go, let go of the rubber collar and the bit will be locked in place. You may have to twist it a little and listen for a click. Remove the drill Bit the same way. Pull collar back and then pull out the bit.
@@johnnyworks5446 thank you so much for the response. Got a new rotary hammer drill today and I am happy to learn using it watching your video. And yeah the chuck seems to looks a bit wobbling(it doesn't look like it's rotating at the centre)..kind. you know? Is it faulty? How can I check myself , got it ordered online amid covid pandemic and no stores are open nearby.
Yes they are, thanks for pointing that out. They can be used for some similar purposes and we sometimes call both tools a hammer drill at work. Just like we sometimes call all circular saws "skill saws" or all reciprocating saws "sawzalls". I didn't realize until you commented that my thumbnail also says Hammer drill but the title says Rotary, so thanks for the heads up!
@@johnnyworks5446 I got a hammer drill to install an anchor on my porch recently. Then I realized how much more power a rotary hammer had so got one from Lowe's with a free battery. And the Bosch was on sale for $129 so I think I did alright. Now I need to bust up some rocks!
@@garminsbleedingedge5198 Nice! A lot of the drill/impact combos come with the drill that has the hammer drill setting. This is good for small anchors but, not any good for bigger ones or chipping rock/concrete. A good rotary hammer is definitely the way to go. Have Fun and thanks for watchin!!!
Are you using the correct SDS bit? It should pop in when you push in all the way in ? If not maybe you need to slide the cooler back with your thumb and index finger then put it in and release. Like you would an air hose connection ?
Amazing video , very straight forward and no bollocks , thanks mate
Thanks for checking it out ✊🏼
For many it can look like simple demonstration, and it is, but helped a lot to get to know better this amazing tool.
Thank you.
Thank you Heriberto!
Thanks for this.. I've literally just purchased my 1st rotary hammer so wanted to pick up some beginners tips.

How donyou put the drill inside?

Bit the same way. Pull collar back and then pull out the bit.
when in the hammer mode is it supposed to still spin the chisle?
It should spin in hammer drill mode but not spin when in hammer mode. That should just move in and out like hitting the object with a hammer.
Anyone ever tell you that you look a lot like if Billy Joel had been a GC? :) I mean that in the nicest possible way.
Never heard that one but, my friend does call me Rick from Pawn Stars on occasion! 🤣
Where can I buy the lube for the rotary hammer drill?
You can buy tool grease at most stores that sell these tools. Home Depot, Lowe’s, Granger etc .
Hi, the drill bit moves freely forward and backward a bit even after locking. Is that normal?
Yes, it is normal. If you pull on the bit and it doesn’t come out but moves in and out , then that is normal.

My chisel isn’t locking in ?

@@johnnyworks5446 i got a 1/2 Milwaukee chisel maybe that’s why ?
Yes most likely. If you have a Bosch then you may need a Bosch SDS bit. There are three different width shafts for the Milwaukee I believe.
