Had an ex friend like that and he treated me like I was a nobody after all the help that I did for him. Refused to answer my calls and hang out with "fake friends" that only wanted him for his money. When his bubble bursted and came back to reality he asked his new friends to help him and of course they refused. He came back to me and true friends for forgiveness and realised who were to him. To this day we haven't decided to forgive him. Should we forgive him or not?

A married man gives his life savings to his "best friend"? Interesting... and very foolish to say the least. His "best friend" surely wasn't even considering that fact when he disclosed that it was his life savings and he has a wife... only that he should give him the money for his campaign BECAUSE they're friends... interesting... and very inconsiderste and selfish to say the least. Bottom line is NO ONE should sell themselves short at the expense of others even if the person is your own mother. Self preservation ALWAYS come first.
