I did this a lot this past winter, I was shooting almost all my rolls at 1600 or 3200 and developing them hot so the times would be short. I was really blown away at how "normal" the images looked even with such a drastic push, definitely an underrated feature of this film
I did the exact same thing! 😂 I used to always get my temp to 20c (68f) but with a lot of longer times I just dev at the temperature it’s at. So 22min turned into a 13 min dev. Really pleased with the film’s capability!
I just released a video where I shot downrated to 200 ISO (+1), but processed normally. It is a grainier option than Delta for sure, but is like a cheaper HP5 to me, with less contrast. I have yet to push it in processing. Good experiment you did here. I don't have the guts to push to 1600 on 35mm yet. Maybe in 120, so that grain can be more manageable...
A week ago i pushed kentmere 400 to 800 iso and developed it in rodinal 1+25. the grain is too big for my taste and dominates the pictures. next time i will buy adox xt-3 and develop film to avoid such big grain.

Kentmere films are a solid option both pushed and at normal exposure
i love this stock at both 1600 and 3200. when i show people some of these photos, they never believe how i shot it :D
I use Kentmere pretty regularly at 3200 I think it looks good! Better than Hp5 at 3200 with slightly more dynamic range.
I think this film is one on its own. Even though it’s in ilford product.
It holds pretty well though.
Well done!
I've not yet shot it, but I recently bought a roll of Kentmere 400 in 120 and I was planning on pushing it to 3200

I would definitely push this film before I used Delta 3200. Delta 3200 is a lousy film.
Once again, thanks for making the video!

You can try to do standing develop in rodinal too!
I also use XT3 (1:1). This way I use K400 even at 3200.
@@robertwaffel8248 I will try stock 1+0 next month ;)
