    You should go back to some of these southern sections when it’s either spring, with the flowers in full bloom, or at least when the green is back! It’s almost like an entirely different mountain range!

    Just found your channel the other day so, I am late to start watching your AT videos. I watched a few of the Colorado Trail videos first. Good luck on the AT. I watched ChrisGoesOutdoors do the trail last year. The couple times I saw you hike at night so, far I wanted to send you a stronger flashlight was nervous for you.

    That uphill right after “that squiggly tree”, as you put it (Bly Gap, I think?) is something like 1,000’ in 1-mile, if I remember right?

    What happens when you get to a shelter and it’s full? Can you pitch a tent or do you hike on to the next? (And then on course, what if that one’s full as well?)

    • @JulianaChauncey
      @JulianaChauncey  5 лет назад

      You can pitch a tent if the shelter is full - you can also pitch a tent at designated campsites without shelters (except for the smoky’s where you must camp at a shelter- or pitch your tent at one if it’s full)

    Wow, so that's the first week of hiking and you've already notched one state. You aren't in California anymore; or Oregon or Washington for that matter.😁 Sad about your trainable, but I've never found waterproof-breathable to be good during a rainy week, mainly just for a day or two at most.
