The potential of the Vickers Supermarine Spitfire was inhibited by the G tolerance of the person in the cockpit and this modern aircraft is exactly the same. The Spitfire had an alternative rudder bar which helped the pilot to be able withstand a little more G than some other aircraft. The safe limits of G forces had already been reached years before the Second World War. Even when the pilot is clothed in a G-suit the human element was an arbitrary limit which was rightly feared.
Early Spitfires couldnt do negative G turns because initially it had a primitive carburrettor which cut the power provision and the Messerschmidt 109Es punished them very severely for it. The equivalent scenario now is the disadvantage of having a flesh and blood pilot in the cockpit instead of being fitted with a fully comprehensive guidance system. One which allows the aircraft to fulfill its full Hi-G aerobatic potential and avoid the drones and guided missiles. Start looking for another job chaps unfortunately the alternative is unthinkable.
@@rleon8183 Let's hypothetically say this? The F-35 can't supercruise, so the F-35 has to use fuel given its large fuel tank to travel long distances; the F-22 has a fuel tank that is not as big as the F-35, but it can supercruise which requires little to no fuel consumption. Is it logical to say that the F-22 has a better range envelope than any current fighters including the F-35?

I guess the Cheap But Genius Invention was too classified!
Were we talking about Spitfires and World War 2? [I may have dozed off. 😂]
@2:55 - Sheet Meta Assemble, hahahaha!
but the F-22 Raptor is the beast🔥
F35 with its long range reach - it's almost untouchable. But I enjoy the F22's maneuverability.
It can even fly with one wing missing.
True!
yes, but you probably wouldn't enjoy the ride. iirc, he had to fly the landing at ~200 knots, just to maintain control.
Agree with @taxiwatcher. Where’s the cheap ingenious dogfighting hack?
Pesawat kebanggaan fans boy AS ini ngga berkutik... Tak ada perlawanan saat diseruduk ditantang sukhoi rusia... Memilih kabur... Seperti raptor yg kabur waktu di suriah...
Excellent video and information regarding F-15 Eagles. Unmatched big bird till to date and years to come.
3:25. No, just no. There is not now, nor has there EVER been, a F15 with '4 external guns'.
Only 249 F 15's? It's few.
Perhaps they mean a certain type..
Seems a bit few for all types
F-15 C, .. D, ...E,.. etc. versions
The real reason for the cost is the long term government policy of reducing competition in all aspects of government contracting while allowing every preferred contractor to get away with massive cost overruns which are never seriously contested. The reason for this is that Congress knew they were going to do it when they approved the contracts.
I hope that someone can makes 1970's aviation history.
Many would argue the F-16 can smoke an F-15 because it is too big and heavy
And they would just show their ignorance. F16 is not a ASF. F15 EAGLE IS THE PREMIER ASF
American's best dog fighter is the tomcat
Is the F15 as maneuverable as a Mig21?
MORE AND A TIGHTER TURNER.
“An internal cannon and at least four external guns” No; that’s not right. My buddy Luke said that only the X model has 4 external guns and he would know.. He’s a Jedi.
Great American great again
My favorite
Betuk peswat paling sempurna siap sambar lawan lawanya ..
Why no mention of the F-16?
👍👍😎😎
Still the baddest of all time. The Navy ain’t got nothing on these aircraft. I’m
surprised the navy doesn’t use these aircraft
The F15EX and its wingman, the MQ25 Stingray can chew up any Russian or Chinese city and spit it out.
Isn't the Stingray an unarmed flying gas station? Also, the Stingray is a Navy drone, not Air Force.
This is where a Vulcan Cannon spitting out 3400 rounds a minute makes me feel better! I adore my Gun! You get in this suckers range? I will literally SAW a wing off.
hello you are incorrect on you explanation, the device over the fuselage is not a air brake, is a LIFT SPOILER. The F 15 fuselage produces a significant amount of lift to the extent of being able to fly with one wing completely damaged and missing. Note the elevator on a F 16 is not a air brake, AMERICA IS A CONTINENT. saludos
We’re these used as wild weasels as well? (Radar hunters)
Not by the US, but some foreign users of the F-15E employ it in that role. The US Air Force uses the F-16 for all SEAD/DEAD (Wild Weasel) work.
make video about the F16 and the F18
The air brake of the F -15 has variable positions.
