Terrific hunt, love that you can hunt by the old fort site. Indian raids were horrible during the French and Indian and then again during the Revolutionary Wars. Great coins, buttons, pewter utensils etc 👋👍
This one was Dustin’s. I pulled in and was like man this isn’t old…. And hour goes by and 8 holes later and I’m holding 6 coppers. Goes to show you just never know what was there at one time. Must have been a super old settlement with a KG1. Those don’t come out too often around here. Plenty of KG11s and up but that shocked me.
@@centralpametaldetectorist289 honestly finding a KG1 this far "west" is quite amazing. You may never find one of those again. I've had one site like that. I have yet to put out the video but will. The house on the site the owner tells me was built in the late 1880's and doesn't look that old honestly. He said I would be lucky to find anything there. I went to the front yard and found a silver 50 cent 1807 Capped Liberty, and three Draped Bust Coppers in the 1790's along with some of my nicest Tombac buttons. I only went to that site because I was detecting the next door site and found nothing and was desperate for anything. It was one of my best days detecting. You never know what sites are fruitful and which one's aren't so you have to give them all a try.
@@AppalachianHistoryDetectives I agree. My best silver site beside the cashe was a 1950s house I guess it was a church site gathering site back in the early 1900s. 3 silver half’s. And about 70 other pieces of silver between dimes and jewlery.
