Download a modded/unlocked/cracked apk from the internet (not from play store, but at your own risk) and then try to edit that. Make sure to not give the app any sensitive permission as cracked apks may contain malwares.

It seems like you're trying to open a zip file. Select only apk files. If your apk is within a zip, first extract it and then select.
