Duration - 76 minutes
Highest altitude - 3900 ft AGL
Launch time - 3:00 PM
I was trying to find a NIL wind day for this one, since that’s the safest option for flying close to cliff sides. That didn’t work out with the winter air moving in. This was on the last day before the first snow fall. Wind speed at 4000ft was 20 km/h, Reports from Nav canada stated temperature at altitude was around -5 c (watch temp is not accurate, it’s pushing against a heated glove) Rotor was a concern, I got as close as comfortably possible. Closest point was around 80-100ft. I’d like to do this one again on a NIL wind day in the future and get 20ft or so away.
First time trying smaller asymmetric spirals, can’t wait to try some bigger ones
Thoroughly enjoyed this one, beautiful area!
This is a great website explaining what rotor is and how it behaves - www.skynomad.c...

Cool flight and what a great place to fly. Looked pretty smooth up there.
Thanks John
Cody where’s the launch field? I’m new this year :)
Looks like Grindrod?
Nice watch @ 3:17 , what kind is it? The display is better then my Suunto
Thanks! Its the Scuba pro Meridian dive computer, I find the display easier to read then most Suuntos
@@cj544 Sure looks like it!
The RiverTalk printed your photo of Grindrod on the it’s front page. They also had the link’s full URL, ruclips.net/video/0Tb6gHjLeIE/видео.html. But it was a lot easier to go to your RUclips page.
Awesome footage, BTW!
I saw that a few days ago, awesome 👍 Thank you!
