    Great comparison. Thank you.
    Question. Why can’t Australian use the ESS functionality for on grid applications?
    Any idea if this will be resolved at any stage. ?

      @TheOffGridShop  3 месяца назад

      Either the Australian network doesn't like Victron and Victron also has an arrogance towards the regulators. So customers lose out. It's making me use other products for our hybrid customers.

    I’ve been looking for info/reviews on the Multi RS Solar for a while now to potentially use on my off-grid shed-house. Thanks for the info. I look forward to more content on it. I’m interested to see how much PV and battery you install it with.

      @@TheOffGridShop I would also be interested to know how noisy this unit is. I’ve been told the Multiplus II inverters can be loud under load?

      hello, I use a Multi Rs solar 1Tracker with an RS450/100tr and an SMA 3kW AC coupled PV inverter and it works perfectly. For storage, I use a 10kWh LTO energy storage. Greetings daniel

    Thanks, I really wanted to use the RS solar for my self contained solar Tesla setup last year but I could not get one in the US. I love that it could switch to 240v 60hz and only 11kg!

      @TheOffGridShop I went with a 5k SolArk inverter and 6.4 kW solar array packed in the back of my car. Strange, my coments don't seem to be posting.

      Trade off is they cannot handle heavy inductive loads. only the heavy inverters that use the low frequency switching technology can handle the heavy loads.

    Thank you for this video, I have one question regarding Multi RS, If there is enough sun and you have a load the inverter gets the energy directly from the panels or from the battery creating micro battery cycling ?

    • @TheOffGridShop
      @TheOffGridShop  5 месяцев назад +2

      If the sun is shining that will power the inverter directly and any excess will go to the batteries to charge.

    Hi. I am leaning towards a 48 or 24 volt system in my RV.
    However i have a 12 volt wheelchair lift in the RV. i would like to run off the new system so I figure I will need a 48/12 convertor for the lift and other 12 volt appliances.
    The lift "I think" pulls upto 65 amp (or maybe fused at 65 amp.)
    Can a convertor handle this kind of load.
    Or would i have to parrallel, (which wont be happening).

    Hi Mike.
    Great video !!
    I have just recently purchased a multi RS solar with two trackers, but as soon as I installed it I received a high voltage output alarm alarm: 54
    it is not allowing me to charge at all and the company I purchased it from suggested it is caused by low vantage on the battery, but it does not allow me to charge, is there any advice you can give me? I would really appreciate if I could maybe contact you guys and have a chat, thanks J J

      What is your backup source? I would run the generator or put keep batteries charged on Ess and force a charge.

    Hi I have read that MULTI RS is not compatible with VE Bluetooth Smart Networking, how do you sync charge parameter if you have for example a SmartSolar charging in parallel the same battery ? Can you use CAN BUS and just daisy chain the 2 devices ?

      We always use Cerbos in our system designs and use that to control everything..

    Can this unit be run on AC input ONLY. I am building a 48v battery from scratch but wont receive the cells for a couple of months. I have plenty of solar and mppt right now but without a battery I guess pv input is useless.

    • @TheOffGridShop

      No they require a battery to work. You could buy some second hand lead acid cells until your new ones arrive..

    Hey mate - enjoying your channel, thanks for all the detailed info. One suggestion - it might just be me, but it would help me if you slowed down, just enough to pronounce all your words fully. I lived in Australia for a long time and am used to hearing Aussie speech patterns, but when I'm a bit tired, I do find myself doubting whether I've guessed correctly a word you might have only half pronounced here and there. Thanks again!

    I'm going to decouple from the grid. Leave my grid connect system as it and then run my house off batteries. I have 20kw of rack mount batteries already and will be buying 6 more.. screw the time of day or demand metering and low feed in tariffs etc. that's fraud.
    I currently use an MPP inverter charger which is great and all in one but I need to upgrade to a low frequency inverter with of least 12kw. I would prefer something like an easysolar but more like a quattro with a 600v max solar charger built in. .
