My old hand saw was rusted and not cutting well. I need to hand cut lumber once in a while, however, I mostly was using the saw for cutting the very large palm fronds that come loose off my Royal palm tree in the wind storms here in Florida. The RYOBI 20 inch hand saw is a perfect size for my cutting requirements. The saw has a light weight composite handle and a solid steel blade with 7 Teeth Per Inch (TPI). The saw cut very fast through the fibrous palm frond, I was able to cut the large frond down to size very quickly.
