I just broke a 10 year reading strike about 2 weeks ago! I used to read all of the time when a teenager but then life happened and I haven't read since. Then I started watching your videos and I finally started reading again and i can't believe I didn't read books for so long. Currently reading court of mist and fury! Thank you for being an inspiration to all of us 💜
lifting rocky to give him a different perspective was really cute 🥺
when I was a kid, my parents made me go to bed at 9pm, but I was never tired so I would put a flashlight on my head (secured with a headband lmfao), and I would read physical books that way. I also had a gameboy color, so I would play it in the dark. 😭
That's just my opinion, but I don't believe in forcefully getting out of reading slumps (or any slumps really). It's okay to not read for some time. I feel we sometimes get super caught up in our identities as readers, but it's a hobby like any other, and passion for hobbies can wax and wane. There are times when I finish books in days and times when the bookshelves get thick with dust, and that's fine.
honestly one big thing that helps my reading slumps are trying something COMPLETELY different. Like, i never read non-fiction but if I'm feelin in a slump I might try something self-help or history related
Song obsession hits hart, I make a playlist just with that one song to listen to it here on youtube on repeat without having to hit the play button again.
There’s a loop video option too, I do it for reading and studying playlist videos ❤
@@ashjen98 Maybe my comment was misleading, but that's what I ment. I make a playlist with 1 song and than put it on loop.💜 If you mean you can put a video on loop without putting it in a playlist and looping the playlist, I did not find that option yet. Is it for normal RUclips or the paid version?
@WoodlandStrawberry you don't need to add it to a playlist it's an option for any video you watch, premium or not; you can do it for this video even; it's in the settings on any video
The loop option on a video is found by just right-clicking on the video itself. Maybe it's in the settings on some UIs, but for me it's a right click on what's playing. Also if you double right-click, you can find "picture in picture" mode, if that's supported by your browser.
@@daniellec4235 Thank you for the info.☺ I googled today how to loop a youtube videoa and got the same answer. Right klick on the video itself and than loop 🙂
Reopening your shop!? Omg yes!!!!!
This was such a lovely vlog! Always adore seeing glimpses of Belize and your life there! Sending love to you and your family from Korea on a perfectly rainy day
I just have to say, it's a strange compliment, but your handwriting is so neat and satisfying 🖤
It’s refreshing to see coconut trees on your videos and not just buildings 🥹
always watch kat when i journal
An old style favourite that got me out of a slump.. Rebecca by Daphne de Maurier... the audio was really great. 👍
OMG yes ! It's one of my favorites, I couldn't agree more with you. Have you read Mexican Gothic ? It's what I'm currently reading and it reminds me a lot of Rebecca. The plot is different and it seems to lean a tad more horror but it's also about a young lady stuck in a gloomy old manor with a bunch of weird people. Highly recommend :D.
I have Mexican Gothic on my kindle but haven't read it yet.. but yes I do think it's definitely my genre. I shall get on to it as soon as.. Thanks for recommending.. ❤❤
One of my favorite fantasy books are the between ink and shadows! Soo good i couldnt put it down AND the audiobook is on everand🤩
I'm soooo excited the shop is coming back! Thanks for the long video It's good to see you and lil Rocky doing alright♥
Snow and Rocky are such sweeties! 🥹
The whispering dark by Kelly Andrew is great, fantastic vibes and the writing is STUNNING. I just started her new book and that one is also great so far. I think their both available on Everand as well :D
labour is such a good song!! As well as the music from ballad, you have excellent taste 👌🏼
Hello, i'm sorry i am LATE, hope you're feeling better (as much as you can, really), and very random, but i saw you listening to Raye and i freaked out, because she absolutely deserves all the love and support in the world and i am glad you found her!
Reading the coven & it’s a dark romance w witches and a headmaster student romance so idkkkk if you’d like but there’s a rec 😂
A good girl’s guide to murder series. On the last book now and they are so good!
The crown of oaths and curses was a really unique fantasy romance book that I loved recently
book rec that got me, a fellow aquarius who is an in*j (intj for me but infj for you), out of my reading slumpo was the house on the cerulean sea by tj klune! cozy but well written fantasy magical world with a lil cute gay romance aspect too! highly recommended!
Soooo *someone's* sister is getting married 👀🙊
I‘m so excited the shop is coming back 🖤
You're such a motivation that I craved for .. your videos make me want to read more and more ! Thanks for sharing this part ❤
Book that helped get out of reading slump was Once upon the broken heart. It has short chapters, whimsical vibes and I really love the main love interest Jacks. But I don´t know if it´s something you would read. Btw I also love the Raven cycle series.
What Moves The Dead got me out of a reading slump. Try short stories.
It's not fantasy but for me Yellowface by R. F. Kuang was a major reading slump breaker!
Lovely as always. Thank you.
Love the vibe of your vids as always!! ♡
oh man - I used to read under my covers by the light of my nintendo ds 🤣I'd have it open on my chest shining onto my pages.
if you haven't yet, you should read the serpent and the wings of night
the shop will be baaaaacckkk!!!! 😱✨👻
Totally random product question but where did you get your phone cases from? I think you have a black one and chrome one that are like liquid metal looking and they're gorgeous!!
I recently read heartless hunter and flew through it
hi! it would be very great to see a what you eat in a day video
Your glasses are so cute ❤
A study in drowning or the crimson moth

tbh I get out of reading slumps with terrible books. Like a very cringey vampire teen romance.
❤
I want to get some bookmarks so bad, very soon! Bc I got so many books I’m ordering soon 😆🔥
for book recs the lady of the camellias got me out of my book slump. it is a classic but its so accessible and easy to read
2 books that really brought me out of a reading slump were A good girls guide to murder by Holly Jackson and The girl who fell beneath the sea by Axie Oh
I looove your gold rings. Where did you get/find them?
rereading trc always gets me out of a reading slump
