Pretty much any estuary or harbour holds mullet - they are extremely prolific along our shores, even found along open rocky shores where kelp is washed up on shore, so you won't have any trouble finding them. The key is finding areas where they stop and feed (or are forced to stop by a barrier to the incoming tide). Look for small rivers running directly out into the sea or pools in between gravel banks. As it's tidal/coastal water, you don't need any licenses or permits.

two types, fished on a dropper; on the point, a red marabou tailed bloodworm, and on the dropper, a red-headed diawl bach with a gold rib. Both seem to catch pretty consistently.

"don't they hang on" as matt hayes would say!
