@Origin Frieza is a VERY brilliant fighter in his own way. Some may say it’s cowardice but when it involves life or death like in this instance when the point is to survive, he picks his battles and doesn’t dare challenge someone way stronger than him unless needed
I think part of it is also because Frieza doesn’t like oweing Goku for the time that Goku spared his energy to Frieza. He wants to get even.

If I remember correctly in the manga Jirens meditating and sensing for problems in his universe, cause he didn’t care about the tournament and would have dipped. In this it’s just kinda meditation and feeling out the arena

Goku is nervous for good reason he just saw hit get eliminated, The assassin he had trouble with and Jiren had little effect to take him down. I believe you it was eye dryness, stupid love universes lol. It was pretty epic to see Goku fight Jiren and to have Goku reach a new power then it was Hit's turn to play.

So I’m the game when you meditate your ki will regenerate at a quick pace, not only that it maximizes you ki limit. It’s a very useful move because with that you can launch two of your most powerful attacks. It’s so broken😂

I think Hit in this episode shows everyone he is the born leader. Unlike Other universes, Hit clearly is always the natural leader of Universe 6. He sacrificed himself to gamble the chance of his universe's survival. Instead of being the hero, he puts all his faith to his teammates. And all his teammates definitely can feel the inspiration. Hit is unlikely all other Dragon Ball characters, he is something puts duty in front of his personal interest. He betrayed his own assassin code because his universe needs him to fight and lead. Even He lost, Champa clearly saw what Hit has sacrificed for his team and universe.
That's why I think Hit might be the best character in Dragon Ball Super. For an assassin, he has incredible honor and most importantly, his sense of duty. A very noble icon. If Goku is not the main lead, in any other series, Hit clearly is the main lead material
added to the fact that he is also nerfed when entering these contests

People really try to say jiren escaped because he is just stronger than hit. Jiren got out because he has infinite speed. To escape a time prison you have to be above time. Jiren was able to move without time.
