I guess it depends on what you had previously. I find noise with these tires are very road surface dependent. They can get a little noisy if the road surface is worn and not very smooth. You must be smoking those things like crazy if you're only getting 23K out of tires with a 50k warranty
I've had Cont DWS 06 on my 08 Acura RDX and 11 MDX. I only got around 32,000-35,000 miles from them on my RDX; but, the full 50,000 miles on my MDX. Driving habits might be a factor in tire life since my RDX is mostly my in city vehicle; while, my MDX is my cross country road trip vehicle. I rotate/X-rotate and balance every oil change.
Whats the approximate life expectancy?
Continental say 6 years 50k miles.
Good for canyon runs?
I think they are a great all around tire. If you need an all-season tire and can't have a summer and winter set these will do pretty good.
Is it normal for these tires to be a bit loud on its first miles? I find myself hearing a lot of tire noise in the cabin.
I guess it depends on what you had previously. I find noise with these tires are very road surface dependent. They can get a little noisy if the road surface is worn and not very smooth. What did have before for tires? These are a sporty tires and most times when there is an increase in grip there is an increase in noise. I don't find them too loud but that is subjective.
@@KevinsEuropeanGarage I had loud but old/worn tires. My car doesn’t have the best sound insulation so I’m assuming it’s just the tires needing to be broken in 👍🏼
What tires do you run on your 911?
Some cheap all seasons right now that were on there when i got the car. I left them cause they were almost new. Ive been thinking of dropping the 19’s and going to 18’s. I haven’t picked a summer tire yet.
Not that good in snow. If your in those areas
I’m disappointed with them
Why?
They break loose on dry pavement as easy if not easier than the cheaper crosswinds they replaced
tires are best on tire4coin
Good in light snow?
Very good. I drove many times on NY snow 3 hours a day.
