Corinne and Sonny actually became in-laws, since Layla and Corinne are sisters. Kevin and Sonny are still friends. Which leads to Julian being a nephew for Sonny.
Haizal Izwan also, don’t forget about the man who neglected Julian’s first time trick-or-treating. He’s more of the secondary jerk. When Sonny says “next year, be prepared” makes me lmao
@@bigbubba29 As good and nice as Sid seems, he still willingly took part in Vanessa's affair with him while she was still technically with Sonny at the time. So Vanessa's karma is technically his, as well.
I really love this Sandler universe. Such a great cast of characters becoming one big, happy family in the end. I even loved how they evolved Sonny and Corinne’s relationship at the end. The bullying and antagonizing is still there, but it’s now more playful since they’re a family. Corinne is clearly liking Sonny deep down now.
The fact a kid turned his whole life around. Even tho he didn't end up with him the impact Julian had on Sonny was enough to make him become a better person. Good for him.
Sids five year plan feels so realistic. My grandpa was a banker and made hell of money, as soon as he retired he got bored and he started to make a 5 year plan and that was working at a register in a candy store. It wasn't that he was bored or depress its because he finally living his dream. To make kids smile and happy.
I love how Julian called Corinne "Mommy". Methinks she either adopted him in the time jump, or Julian just accepted her as his mother. Of course, she is his stepmother, but still...
I always love that part too. Because besides Sonny of course she was there that very first day too. So i think the transition was probably fairly easy for both of them.

That's what she gets for dropping him bc she thought she found better to turn out she ended up with worse, now Sonny is a lawyer and her man today is a cook for hooters haha. She got her karma.
Quinton Moad Well she left Sonny bc he was doing exactly what Sid was doing at the end of the film.. if she just toughed it out a little longer and stayed with him while Julian was helping him grow she instead chose to cheat on him and leave him for the person she cheated on him with talking a big game how he had a five year plan but instead is worse off now than Sonny. It has nothing to do with him having a minimum wage job but how everything went down between Sonny, Vanessa, and Sid. That’s her karma.

At the time it came out, I had a few family members, even my own parents, griping about "another Sandler movie where he casts his friends" but I really grew to love this movie. The humor was hit-or-miss, though I had more laughs than not, but the part that really stuck with me was seeing the way that Sonny was able to help Julian grow, and Sonny was able to grow because of Julian. They had so much of an effect on each other, they were not just like father and son, but like best friends. All-in-all, a solid movie which I have no problem watching over and over for the "feels" and the nostalgia.
