That's actually a voice technique trick. When you smile, you tend to stay on top of the pitch, instead of going flat. So her precision of notes is caused by her smile

She's nodding her head at the fucking start because she's impressed that J Marie fucking belted out those notes with no trouble, then she gets super fucking into it during the "that you can pick up and drop" part before just going all out with her little dance and mouthing the words to her song. It gets me fucking excited as hell when they do that. You can just feel how proud Jessie is.
Not as strong as Jessies Performance, but there is sth about this interpretation that has me coming back all the time. It just seems like an awesome whole package. Big Kudos!
