Hi Nick, put the camera in a box with a bit of silica gel pellets - should draw out the moisture. Voles (and moles) in my veg beds create tunnels that are on par with the cave systems in the Yorkshire Dales🤐
@@peterdillon2628 Hi Peter thanks for the suggestion, I'm not sure what happened as I keep the camera in its bag and it has a silicone packet inside. I've left the bag open next to the radiator and the camera near so hopefully it'll dry itself out, fingers crossed anyway 😁👍👌🤞
Hi Nick, I'm watching completely and enjoyed thoroughly 👌 ❤👌 Nice carrots 🥕 🥕 Is Meadow coming for dinner? Take care ❤Peggy❤ A little moisture, for sure, but it should dry out if you cover it with rice.
Nice update Nick, the fog hasn't spoiled the viewings. Winter gardening never stops on my allotment's, busy as ever. Carrot root fly has ruined my carrots, may have to change beds, permanent beds isn't working. 🥕Happy gardening, Terry King.
Hi Nick, soft focus garden tour, it could become a thing😅! I enjoy how you talk about the science behind the soil health, I am a bit of an anorak in these things as well😉. I hope you enjoyed your day with Meadow and the shepherd’s pie turned out well. I have made notes about which green manures to try next year…
Newfoundland (being a small island out in the North Atlantic) doesn’t have a mole or vole problem! No deer, raccoons and other pests. We do have mice, rats and squirrels and chipmunks! Caribou are a nonsense animal for farmers here…..You still have lots going on Nick! Love Sheppards Pie…those carrots are great! Put your camera in a bag of rice!
You have a lot of compost 👍 I was looking for such a thermometer but they don't have it here so I have to get one online. I prefer to support the little shops. Your garden is well prepared for winter ❄️ 🌝
Love a plot tour ❤ I found a broccoli I forgot we even had. Nice surprise. Definitely use rice, I’ve used it one and worked a treat. I always worry about my phone getting wet or soil and stuff getting in the nooks 😮 but it’s what I use for filming so have to clean it once home. All looking great! Hope your enjoying bowling with Meadow ❤
Funny it’s T-shirt weather here too as long as it’s covered with a bloody thick winter coat 😂😂😂 7c max today 🥶🥶. I have moles all over the yard 🤦♀️ I was hoping the flooded garden and the cold would deter them but alas. Fab that you’re still getting broccoli 🥦 I’m going to do more sprouts and parsnips next year. My poor broad beans died in the wet 😢 but I’ll do more. Hope Meadow got by for a visit ❤ have a lovely week, Ali 🥶🥶🇨🇦

Hi Nick. Nice being on the plot when it's warm and bright. It's amazing your broccoli are still throwing florets. I wonder how long they will last? I see you had a lot of ground fog there! Just pulling your leg 😂 Perhaps your cam was somewhere cold before you used it? I must cover my carrots over. I was over presumptuous to think mine would not get attacked. The last batch I took out, I struggled to get two bags but It was enough. I fully agree with you about boosting your soil. After all, we've (what am I talking about we ?) (I) have stiff competition for next year's SSPC, 😂🥔. I like phacelia. The bees love 'em, never mind green cover. Some commercial strawberry growers, cut their plants back after fruiting to generate newer leaves before winter. Leaving them on protects the ground though. I'd cover your garlic over Nick. Let the kitties go elsewhere lol. Great update 👍 ps, give your shed a bit of love when you can 😁👍🎄🎅🥦🥦🥦
@@allotmentjoy Hi Elaine the shed is almost a wreck, it has no floor and half a back wall 🤣, I don't have a lot of room to sort it out.
