No, I'm not using AI for future videos. Just a fun experiment to see what kind of script AI can come up with in it's current development. As you'll hear, it's "lacking". :)
I think that was obvious buddy. Some people can't watch a vid to the end.I was blown away by how AI could fully write a Donut Media script, and it wasn't bad. No wonder they all left. We need to lift humans who have seat time above Chat bots
I gave Chat GTP the things I wanted to say about an welded metal art piece I had made for a juried art show where they selected pieces for a year long Arts on the Avenue event. What the AI came up with was a flowery description on what I had built. It was selected and had the middle 2 pages in their brochure with one whole page of the AI description and the other showing the photograph of the actual piece. They also picked a second piece that only had a 2 paragraph AI generated description. This year I am trying the idea of giving AI the description of what I have in mind, let it make a flowery description and then I am going to make the welded pieces to enter into the show. I use scrapped oil field materials as my medium so given that as a main parameter AI has generated many ideas and some I can build to enter into shows.
That's really cool. For the thumbnail, I used Copilot on my Windows machine to create the robot with my channels initials on it. So remember AI can generate images from your description. Might try that and get some creative ideas for the metalwork?
As a journalist, it's coming for us all... And for the most part that's OK. As long as the details are factually correct, I have problem using it myself. Accuracy though is still hit and miss when I use it for pointed questions but it's good at writing in an informative and casual way that even I can't do most days because of chronic overthink...
I was totally surprised that AI could do this. If you have a car and wondered about the Civic's (my car) history, that would get you pretty much caught up on things. However, every time I see a new channel without a face, I dismiss it out of hand and don't recommend it to my feed. My 70 year old dad told me today that he loves how the 2026 Chevelle looks. Dad, that is not real. Jon points this out. Skynet is coming for our jobs, that IS real.
Cool experiment. The script was well written but there was this lack of “Jon-ness” that I come to the channel to watch. I mean, Big Car or My Old Car could’ve read the same script and it could’ve easily matched their atmosphere. I don’t really have to worry about AI replacing you, because we’re not here to hear what AI has to say. We’re here to hear what you (Jon) has to say. I’ve unsubscribed from a couple AI generated or AI scripted car news channels like Velocity and Electric because it was just too much unbearable fluff with little information or personality. Cool experiment though. What a handy tool AI has become. Don’t let it replace you though. Maybe assist, but not replace.😉
Originally I wanted to, as I've seen them done before, but to do it cost subscriptions and more effort than I wanted to put in. So I decided to reframe it as just looking at the quality script AI could generate from a list of hundreds of my previous video titles and add the voice over and images myself. As I expected, it's far removed at this point from what a real human with a personality can create. Although I do think ChatGPT is funnier than I am. :(
While Honda & Toyota keep redesigning and improving their cars, GM, Ford & Chrysler kept cancelling them and replacing them with a new model. Honda and Toyota were of better quality and more reliable then the Big 3 American automakers
I have seen a lot worse videos than the AI-generated portion. Maybe yes, a bit on the shallow and fluffy side, but it was engaging and a bit funny, just as you requested. Just a little shorter than you wanted.
As of now AI voices are terrible. It was like Wonder bread. Good, but you'd rather have bread made at the bakery. Some video's (AI?) have photos that are not really relevant.
Where was AI in 90's, imagine I could use AI to pass all homework assignments as Year 10 was ridiculous in the amount assignments we had, i could more sleeps been less stressful, plus mum not having do spell check on our 286 computer. AI good for reference but jokes NO let lone 8 minutes content of the real Jon. Jon that huy presented be punching look like creeper pregnant dude thats worst about AI, glitches in the system.
What is the point to watching your videos if you aren't doing the writing? I'm sorry. I am so old school. AI is flat out cheating. Downvoted your video and doing something on a Honduh is vomit-inducing as well (I would have down voted the video twice if I could).
Why would you downvote a video by a human to demonstrate that AI is crap? He isn't trying to sell you a vid made by himself, he is showing you that Skynet is evolving and he like McDonald's cashiers are a dying breed. Don't worry, I'm commenting drunk now, too. Support ACWJ

It was a clever script, but clearly Chat GPT is not a genuine auto enthusiast.

even a far to brief history of hot rods/tuner cars be a trilogy

Holy cow, that actually sounded like MotorWeek.
That Civic was seen in the 1990 Home Alone Movie driven by Santa
You know I finally watched that movie for the first time this past holiday season?

I just hope you don't fall to rely on AI because thats remove the unique style of creators. Continue your good job
Not at all, it was just an experiment to see what AI could come up with.

my thoughts exactly.
Your video kind of gives a glimpse into the AI crystal ball. But your right, the script is not as in depth as it should be.
Cool video, glad you didn't do the robovoice and the power slides

Chatgpt is always so smarmy
