I feel as though I need to address some of these comments. Yes, the S-199 is objectively worse than virtually every aircraft it faces, with the only exception being some of the low tier bombers. Yes, many of these clips are of players who aren't paying attention, however that it how you are supposed to play it. Shoot down unsuspecting players before they get a chance to react, as if you fail to do so, they will get you. This video was meant to showcase that it is possible to do well with a vehicle that much of the player base deems unplayable. I haven't been able to find any videos showing this aircraft in a positive light, so I wanted to do that. Also it goes without being said, but any anti-semetic comments will be removed without warning. Thank you for your time.
Fun fact about the S-199, it actually had a unseen problem with the machine gun sync gear when shooting thru the prop. So it would actually just shoot its own prop off.
@@IHaevATajpo Honestly its kind of a skill diff, i used it to grind out sl and would always get around 3 kills or if i'm lucky I would get more. its 13mm guns shred and although its max speed and turn time is very shit, the guns make up for it.

It's only two saving graces are the MG151s, and it's airframe. Because it's a G-12 airframe it can handle very high speeds in a dive. Retaining that energy however is impossible as the Jumo 211F is extremely underpowered, and WEPing even for a short period of time will result in the engine overheating.
Irl it had he111 engine and propeller of some other bomber built in but still proved well in 1948 Israeli-arab war because egiptian pilots werent skilled enough. Israel hired former us airforce pilots.

I mean I'll admit it's not great, but granted it's a Gustav airframe with a cruddy Jumo engine and cannons are only poddable, it's decent when used right.
If the S-199 would be put in 2.7 it would be perfectly fine. it is basically a BF-109 G-14 with the engine of the He-111 H-6 (which itself is a 2.7 aircraft funnily enough) and different german MG configuration (2 x MG-151 in the wings and 2 x MG-131 in the nose). here are the pros and cons of the S-199 should it be moved to 2.7: +) G-14 airframe from very late WW2 makes this aircraft near immune to rifile calibre MGs and pretty resiliant to early/mid war .50 Cals +) MG combination is pretty good, once MG-151 is unlocked +) thanks to the very late G-14 airframe, if the S-199 does find itself in a situation where it has a high amount of energy, it its insanely more performant than anything in it's BR -) the Jumo 211F is incredibly underpowered, most aircraft will outclimb and outaccelerate you even in this BR, although not as abysmaly as in 3.3 -) before aquiring the MG-151 modification you will be stuck with MG-17 rifile calibre MGs on the nose, but unlike other aircraft with rifile calibre MGs you dont get a gargantuan amount of ammo for them -) oh boy if you thought taking off in simulator with the BF-109 is hard, the S-199's Jumo 211F generates even MORE torque making it even harder to take off without crashing immedietly edit: fixing some mistakes
Yeah that torque in the S-199 makes it a nightmare on takeoff, but I still have an above 1.0 KD with the damn thing. It is somehow enjoyable in sim, and I don’t know how.
Fun fact: the S199 "Sakin" was just a really bad mashup of the Bf109, the Czechs built it if I'm not mistaken and the Israelis desperately needed them when fighting the Arab armies in the independence war, so as bad as it was, it had unimaginable value to Israel that was only a few days old at thee time.

Then israel started getting harassed by some of the arab nations around it and desperately needed an air force, but noone was willing to supply them, except... Czechoslovakia was willing to send the Avia S-199, and israel used it because it was the only thing they could get

This thing flies like a lead brick, and is about as fast as one, But the 20mm with the air belts are insanely good. I've gotten 10+ kill matches in 5.3-6 BR without much issue. I love my S-199 so much.

Well I agree, I cant figure out for the life of me how to play the Kikka, indeed a skill issue. However, making you research one 30mm out of a grand total of two, and you only get 50 rounds each, is an absolute crime
As someone who fly a lot of the crazy and otherwise terrible planes, I think this is actually pretty average. I really like the VB 10. 02 planes in the French tech tree, despite their lack of sufficient power and their powerful cannons and strong air frame, and this really gives me similar vibes. It was a treat to play, and I would play it again.
Showing clips of you getting kills in vehicles that are objectively and undeniably worse than the other planes of comparative BR level does not change the fact that a plane is objectively and undeniably worse than other planes comparative to the BR level. I don’t know if people just feel big dicked by claiming something is good “if used properly”, like some kind of elitist complex, or maybe it’s just an all in good fun laugh. Regardless, shit planes are still shit, no matter how hard a particular opponent will try to make it look good for you. Don’t confuse your target failing to use their vehicle well with yours being “not that bad”
Really? In the Sakeen my average score is roughly 500-900 especially in ground strike missions. I’d say it has a good variety of weapons and if you know how to use it it can kick ass.
The S-199 plays a lot like the crappiest P-51 pilots play their planes: do fuck all until you spot someone that 100% can't fight back and then go balls to the wall on "securing the kill"... on a plane that was missing a wing.

I'm a sim player, mostly air with SL issues due to being a free to play player and I rarely buy any vehicles because of that, and when I do I think about it nice and well. I've seen the israeli tech tree but never rly started it but the S 199 seemed ok in stats but never rly got to use it's firepower in a real battle cause I dont even own it. One thing especial about that plane is that (last time I checked) it sits well in 3.3. For air simulator battles in enduring confrontation where you have rooms with a max and min BR so that you can join (so basically uptier proof but not rly downtier. As if you have a plane that meets the BR of a room you can even bring a biplane in. Some people do this as far as rank 3 but mostly 2) this means that it plays in rank 2. So it will fight p40F10 or Bf 109 F2 or F1 at best. So it being a rank 4 109 I think it can have some good advantadge. This video made me consider buying this plane even more. BTW, I moved to RB because rank 2 in AB was a nightmare and back then I only played USA. So in RB when I got to p 47D we can say it didnt go so well... So I tried sim, where I am quite good! This to say that you, dkart96, seem to be quite a good pilot in WT and props man! You can even use it in rank 3 in a hard (for me) gamemode. I wish you the best of luck!
If you are "supposed" to play a plane by shooting down unsuspecting players that don't know where the "c" key is, it's not a good plane. It's pretty clearly (and ironically, considering the nation) a cash-grab, forcing people to buy the premium with a bad first plane. I did get an ace in the thing though, so at least it's a nice meme.
No one is forcing you to buy the Spitfire tho. If you want it you can buy it, but its not a requirement. The S-199 isn't that bad once you get the MG151 gunpods, and it's not that difficult to use. Yea, it's engine is trash but the airframe is really good. Side climb, and dive on enemies. Don't rush in and you'll have a better chance of succeeding.

It's designed to be frustrating, and I don't like that, even for a free game. I think the only issue with my comment is that I kinda implied that these planes exist in a vacuum. Air RB isn't 1v1's at equal alt and energy. Yeah, it's objectively a bad plane, a very bad one. However, a distinction should be made between a plane being unworkable in a 1v1 and unworkable in Air RB. Anyone who claims it needs a downtier either has these concepts confused or has a skill issue. By the way, I love your videos, you're one of my favorite creators. I mostly meant that comment for the people that complain that is OP, or that "it's good, you just don't know how to fly it, I go 4:1 in it." I think a lot of people missed the point in the video, dkart isn’t trying to say that the plane is good, he’s stated so himself several times, he wanted to showcase that it’s possible to do good with even the worst steaming piles of garbage.
Here because I also have this “problem”. Will try to grind mods on B-17G and spits and end up dying horribly in those and getting like 3 Skill Matterses in S-199
I started grinding Israel for the 2 HE slingers and m51 3 spawn tank line up. decided i wanted the spitfire for CAS rockets. Read eveywhere this was shit. I spaded it in no time. It legit was amazing at diving and not ripping. The guns are incredible as seen in the video. I now miss it and just go back and play it for fun. I consider it a bit of a scavanger, letting the battle develop and picking off unexpecting / hurt planes. Ps everyone said the ground forces was shit too and suprise suprise its not. Everything can work if you want it to.
Tbh, in Arcade Battles i have already 77 kills, it is very usable and very good aircraft, when you master it. I mean, 200k SL per one day mainly playing this bad boy. On Spitfire mk IX i have around 30 kills and on Mustang 15
My S199 trick is to leave cannons at home, it suddenly turns horrible fighter into a bad one. And there are plenty of bad planes out there, not just you. People will expect you to be a total brick, but you actually aren't and you can catch them off guard. And the humiliation you inflict on players by killing them with the worst fighter in the game, makes this plane one of my top 10 favourite!
3:1 KD in the S-199? Dkart you must be some wizard to do that. The S-199 is one of those aircraft that is objectively crap, but I still manage to have some fun and get some kills with. She's not designed to be the first bird into the furball, you're supposed to be letting the other guys in first to distract and drag the enemy down.
What does this video even prove man? The plane still isn't good and none of these kills are anything more than you just slotting in on people flying in a straight line/full committing with people and winning.

As someone who fly a lot of the crazy and otherwise terrible planes, I think this is actually pretty average. I really like the VB 10. 02 planes in the French tech tree, despite their lack of sufficient power and their powerful cannons and strong air frame, and this really gives me similar vibes. It was a treat to play, and I would play it again.
I really wanna use the VB 10 C2 but the repair cost is 12k stock for some fucking reason. It's only 4.7 jesus christ Gaijin

Showing clips of you getting kills in vehicles that are objectively and undeniably worse than the other planes of comparative BR level does not change the fact that a plane is objectively and undeniably worse than other planes comparative to the BR level. I don’t know if people just feel big dicked by claiming something is good “if used properly”, like some kind of elitist complex, or maybe it’s just an all in good fun laugh. Regardless, shit planes are still shit, no matter how hard a particular opponent will try to make it look good for you. Don’t confuse your target failing to use their vehicle well with yours being “not that bad”

Really? In the Sakeen my average score is roughly 500-900 especially in ground strike missions. I’d say it has a good variety of weapons and if you know how to use it it can kick ass.

The S-199 plays a lot like the crappiest P-51 pilots play their planes: do fuck all until you spot someone that 100% can't fight back and then go balls to the wall on "securing the kill"... on a plane that was missing a wing.
As a japan main, when a S-199 comes to me, I feel really sad...

I'm a sim player, mostly air with SL issues due to being a free to play player and I rarely buy any vehicles because of that, and when I do I think about it nice and well.
I've seen the israeli tech tree but never rly started it but the S 199 seemed ok in stats but never rly got to use it's firepower in a real battle cause I dont even own it.
One thing especial about that plane is that (last time I checked) it sits well in 3.3. For air simulator battles in enduring confrontation where you have rooms with a max and min BR so that you can join (so basically uptier proof but not rly downtier. As if you have a plane that meets the BR of a room you can even bring a biplane in. Some people do this as far as rank 3 but mostly 2) this means that it plays in rank 2. So it will fight p40F10 or Bf 109 F2 or F1 at best. So it being a rank 4 109 I think it can have some good advantadge.
This video made me consider buying this plane even more.
BTW, I moved to RB because rank 2 in AB was a nightmare and back then I only played USA. So in RB when I got to p 47D we can say it didnt go so well... So I tried sim, where I am quite good! This to say that you, dkart96, seem to be quite a good pilot in WT and props man! You can even use it in rank 3 in a hard (for me) gamemode. I wish you the best of luck!

If you are "supposed" to play a plane by shooting down unsuspecting players that don't know where the "c" key is, it's not a good plane. It's pretty clearly (and ironically, considering the nation) a cash-grab, forcing people to buy the premium with a bad first plane. I did get an ace in the thing though, so at least it's a nice meme.
No one is forcing you to buy the Spitfire tho. If you want it you can buy it, but its not a requirement. The S-199 isn't that bad once you get the MG151 gunpods, and it's not that difficult to use. Yea, it's engine is trash but the airframe is really good. Side climb, and dive on enemies. Don't rush in and you'll have a better chance of succeeding.
@@dkart96 I agree with all that. I was just saying, having such an objectively bad plane as the starting point makes players want to throw their wallets at Gaijin. It's designed to be frustrating, and I don't like that, even for a free game.
I think the only issue with my comment is that I kinda implied that these planes exist in a vacuum. Air RB isn't 1v1's at equal alt and energy. Yeah, it's objectively a bad plane, a very bad one. However, a distinction should be made between a plane being unworkable in a 1v1 and unworkable in Air RB. Anyone who claims it needs a downtier either has these concepts confused or has a skill issue.
By the way, I love your videos, you're one of my favorite creators. I mostly meant that comment for the people that complain that is OP, or that "it's good, you just don't know how to fly it, I go 4:1 in it." Because usually, those sorts of people don't realize they're being carried by the guns.

I think a lot of people missed the point in the video, dkart isn’t trying to say that the plane is good, he’s stated so himself several times, he wanted to showcase that it’s possible to do good with even the worst steaming piles of garbage.

Here because I also have this “problem”. Will try to grind mods on B-17G and spits and end up dying horribly in those and getting like 3 Skill Matterses in S-199
I started grinding Israel for the 2 HE slingers and m51 3 spawn tank line up. decided i wanted the spitfire for CAS rockets. Read eveywhere this was shit. I spaded it in no time. It legit was amazing at diving and not ripping. The guns are incredible as seen in the video. I now miss it and just go back and play it for fun. I consider it a bit of a scavanger, letting the battle develop and picking off unexpecting / hurt planes.
Ps everyone said the ground forces was shit too and suprise suprise its not. Everything can work if you want it to.

Tbh, in Arcade Battles i have already 77 kills, it is very usable and very good aircraft, when you master it. I mean, 200k SL per one day mainly playing this bad boy.
On Spitfire mk IX i have around 30 kills and on Mustang 15

My S199 trick is to leave cannons at home, it suddenly turns horrible fighter into a bad one. And there are plenty of bad planes out there, not just you.
People will expect you to be a total brick, but you actually aren't and you can catch them off guard.
And the humiliation you inflict on players by killing them with the worst fighter in the game, makes this plane one of my top 10 favourite!

She's not designed to be the first bird into the furball, you're supposed to be letting the other guys in first to distract and drag the enemy down.
