To delete the city field, the following option worked for me.
In the bottom grid, "City" should be the first field.
When you hover your mouse over the actual word "City," your mouse will turn into a black arrow pointing down.
Click that black down arrow. It will select the whole "City" field.
Now click the "delete" button on your keyboard (or its equivalent if you've altered your keyboard to have a specific key act as the delete button).

In the Navigation Pane, right-click the query, and then click Design View.
In the query design grid, select the field that you want to delete, and then press DEL.
Close and save the query.
