My husband and I knew him personally he was a wonderful man and he lived for the wrestling world and his brothers of wrestling he will be truly missed 😢
Brother dont worry about being remembered. I am a 50 year old wrestling fan and I watched you every weekend with my great grandmother. You are remembered!!
Rest in power 🙏🏻black bart will never be forgotten gone to the biggest ring in the sky called heaven with all the other wrestling legends 🪦🙏🏻😢🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊1948-2025
So nice to see JBL give a heartfelt speech like that. Bart was often overlooked, but was a fantastic heel. For a guy his size, the leg drop from the second rope looked absolutely devastating.
I loved black bart and saw him mostly in global wrestling federation in Texas, i respect him because he protected the business and always gave it his all in the ring and in interviews.
When I was 8 years old, my family went to Pensacola,Fl on vacation and one day on the beach my good ole beer drinking uncle struck up a conversation with a gaint of a man and before you new it he was drink a beer and playing horse shoes with us his name he told us was Rick Harris. Rick told us he was a professional wrestler and invited us down to the show in town that night. Well he didn’t tell us he had the Alabama belt and he was MAN MOUNTAIN RICK HARRIS! It was a night I would never forget and old black Bart made it that way! My uncle has pasted on a few years ago and maybe him and old Bart are drinking one and playing horse shoes in heaven
great stories worked with Rick at a utility company .. he always threatened to put the boots to me.. have so many great stories ad riding daily with him .. gonna miss him just not the spit bottles!

Agreed!
It was actually the Mid Atlantic hwt title he held, not the western state’s heritage championship. He was one of the best heels of his era.
