Few of the commentators realized that Tiralongo was paying back his professional win that Contador gifted him a year earlier during the Giro.

"Bjarne Riis is giving other teams bottles". NO. He is giving Tiralongo bottles. Contador put money in the bank during the Giro 2011... he was cashing in at this stage. Beautiful.

Yep-funnily enough just finished watching (over the last few weeks) a complete re run of that Giro-which Contador could've won by well into double figures minutes, but being the guy he is-once he knew it was his to blow he started being generous and doing his best to see that those who weren't an immediate GC threat got a fair crack at a stage win.Paulo was in tears calling it 'love',that his former Astana leader (in sensing that the GC group were about to catch his former domestique in the final km,) launched a big counter to drop them, ride over to Tiralongo and pull him to the line. There,he soft pedaled-in so helping Tiralongo bag his first pro win.The class of the man meant he pulled it off without it looking obvious to the untrained eye.

The British commentary teams never have a clue what's going on. They only focus on Sky/Ineos and the other British riders.

Just watched this video on the day after Contador virtually seals Vuelta 2014. Amazing stage. Would go down in history. Looking forward to TDF 2015 and Contador victory

Ananthakrishnan P R It would have been awesome if Contador did the double! 2015 Tour de France was incredible, and Alberto put up a great fight after an amazing Giro d'Italia!

Heh... commentators not at all getting what was going on between Saxobank/Contador and Tiralongo.
Tiralongo was working for Contador all along. Remember the Giro 2011, when Contador gifted Tiralongo's one and only professional victory to him? Today was payback time.

This was 2012 and Tiralongo already won his second giro stage earlier in the year.

Contador will now have to worry about Valverde, he closed almost 2 minutes on him in the final of the stage. Not over yet.

WTF is with the subtitles flying all over the place? Its highly annoying, especially for people who want to read what they are saying.

    Same for this year's.

They also missed that Contador actually had three "teammates" (Hernandez, Paunlinho, and Tiralongo) helping him, against 1 teammate with Rodriguez.

Epic failure by Purito. To not realize that Contador attacked and caught the breakaway? I was watching the Universal Sports highlights videos of this Vuelta recently. I knew Contador won this Vuelta, but Rodriguez had this Vuelta by the reins! So many incredible stage wins! I kept on asking myself HOW does Purito lose this vuelta?!?! OOOoooo. Thats how. Derp.

DanDXMG I feel bad for Purito though. He lost the Giro to Ryder Hesjedal on the last day time trial... He lots this Vuelta on a dumb mistake. :-(

Rodriguez just didn't have the legs. Or else he could've followed Valverde and saved the Vuelta.
His teammates didn't have the legs either.

To be fair (and I like Purito too) Contador did most of the racing that Vuelta-always leading the attacks, but was lent on heavily by both Rodriguez and Valverde would work together to rein Alberto in and then sit on while he kept pounding away, trying to smash them.Rodriguez and to a lesser degree Valverde (if around) would then jump Contador at the death,in so not only gaining a handy second here and there but mop up the juicy bonus seconds the Vuelta always seems to have for 1,2,3rd.Yes that's racing and it was one hell of a race with ferocious attacking throughout.Froome didn't know where to look he was blown away!
