Hi, I have parole in process. Should I show the parole documents at the border ? Would that be a plus point for me because it was lodged 2 years ago. Maybe that would make my waiting time shorter

Yes, but they must prove well-founded fear of persecution from both countries. To discuss the case with one of our immigration attorneys, please use this link to schedule an individual consultation: www.islawfirm.com/consultation/.

Thank you for your job! My question is: have you heard about total apprehension of all CBP applicants that went to poe with due date exclusively with Russian passport. I meant those without kids. I thoroughly screen the information in chats and from august all russian males without kids (no matter in marriage or not) are sent to detention. A lot of instances when pregnant wife was separated from husband on border. Why so inhumane attitude towards russian passport owners (no matter nationalities)? And that’s like a rule. All statistics show that from august all russian males without kids go to detention.

Yes, we have heard about the recent increase in detentions of Russian males, but not everyone gets detained. The CBP also announced that they will be conducting further background checks for Russian citizens, but they did not specifically indicate that all will be detained.

Q : I am a US citizen and my husband went to CBP One appointment on the 17th of October was interviewed for 6 hrs at the border. He was then was transferred to Imperial Regional Detention Center and is still being held in Detention. He was convicted of Intent to deliver heroin 24 yrs ago and was deported. He told them the entire truth. He was sentenced to 1 yr but only spent 6 months in jail. He has not been in trouble since. We have 2 kids also US citizens. They told him he was going to meet with an asylum officer but hasn't heard anything else. Could you please explain a bit about what is happening with this issue.

@@robynolshefski2748 it is likely that your husband will go through a Credible Fear Interview with an asylum officer. He may have a criminal ban to his asylum claim and can possibly qualify for Withholding of Removal or CAT only. You need to get in touch with a lawyer individually to help with your husband's case. Unfortunately, you cannot get a proper regal help or advice through public forums and RUclips. Consult with a lawyer individually. Good luck!
