I just hired a new gardener and at the end of his second visit when I went to pay him, on a very hot day, working without his assistant, I brought him a large cup of freshly cut up cold watermelon with a fork and a napkin, along with the money. We recently had our driveway redone and a large concrete pad poured. We hired a fantastic crew, always had a breakfast/coffee bar set up for them with muffins and pastries, water, OJ, coffee. Treated them to pizza one day for lunch. Always had cold water and gatorade on hand. They said the same thing you mentioned, that most people just ignore them as if they’re not there. It made me cry once I got in after saying bye. I just don’t get how people can be so cold.

Hi dear, just in case you didn’t know: have you checked whether you have to put the handle bar on Cade‘s car seat down during car rides? For most car seats it’s not „only“ a handle for carrying but functions as a safety feature so the baby won’t hit the seat in case of an accident as the handle bar will hit the seat instead (hope you know what I mean) 🙏🏼

I was 9 or 10 and thought I'd gone blind in that eye and I was so scared! My dad calmed me down and irrigated my eye with distilled water to rinse all the blood and infection out while my mom called the doctor for a prescription for antibiotic eye drops and ran to the drugstore to pick it up. II was the first time I'd had one burst - usually they just finally shrank and disappeared.

Mom of 5 here. I posted on one other video related to having kids, but I love all your videos. I also got styes and something similar but more in the upper eye lid called a chalazion postpartum. Maybe hormone and sleep change related. Chalazions are clogged oil ducts and sometimes have to be drained by an eye doctor, which I had to have done after two different births. I really do think lack of or interrupted sleep had a lot to do with it. Doctor’s couldn’t really make sense of why it was primarily only happening post partum, but I had it with every child and now 5 years since my last birth, I never have those eye issues anymore. Hope your’s is able to heal on its own!

I made my contractors coffee every morning. Warmed up their packed leftovers lunches in the microwave for them. Also lived on site through our kitchen reno (last year) and was project manager and did all the wall painting myself. Contractors played with our dog and she was so excited to have visitors every day. Electrician is a friend of ours and 1 contractor a relative so we often had lunches with them, and then our dog would actually watch the gate watching for the 2 of them especially. Our main builder was a work contact of hubby’s and his team was so cheerful. All great guys. We had a very happy site.

It's better not to use make up until your eye is healed. The same with contacts. If you use them you have to toss those.

Now as an adult I’ve also always taken care of whomever has worked on my home. What I found is if you take care of them, they often take care of you better than the job may require. My problem would be shutting my chatterbox and letting them get on with their work so they aren’t at my house 10 months instead of 5 months 😂 These guys were among the first people who were around Cade and I am sure that was very special to them also! They also got the chance to have a true collaboration with someone who has done a lot of what they do and who understands the process, so that was fun for them too! They will always be a part of your home!! I remember when my parents built our first home, we had all the tradesmen sign their names and the date next to my brother and my signatures (along with our parents) in each of our bedrooms and that was such a special moment!! I was 12 and my brother was 10. That was 48 years ago and I often wonder if any of the owners after us remodeled and found them!

Not just hot compresses but cilantro compresses, boil 2 cups of water let it boil for 3-4 min turn it off and throw in a handful of cleaned washed cilantro cover it w a lid. Remove the cilantro once it’s warm not hot anymore and w a face towel soak it and put it over you eye. Make sure you set aside water and not keep dipping back, you can save your water warm it up a you need it. It’s so good!!!

Your baby is absolutely ADORABLE! It is so hard to believe he is already 2 months old because it seems like it was just yesterday that he was born. McCenna, you really look amazing and I was thrilled to hear you say you were embracing your post baby body because it gave you Cade. I wish many more women saw themselves in the same manner after having their baby/babies instead of dwelling on the fact they no longer look exactly like they did before their baby was born. I can only imagine how thrilled you are to finally be able to start putting your house back together and knowing you're only a few days away from actually having a kitchen again. I'm also a person who does not function well at all when things are in turmoil around me. Isn't it sad though that so many people are so rude to contractors they hired to do work around and/or in their house. I simply do not understand what is so difficult in being kind to others, yet many people tend to look down on them which has always bothered me a lot. And for your contractors to have actually commented on your kindness, and thanked you, speaks volumes to seldom this occurs. Your house is truly turning out beautifully, inside and out. Your flowers are magnificent and always make me smile whenever they're shown. Here in West Texas beautiful blooming flowers are not a common sight.

I've always taught my kids to be grateful and thankful to people no matter what they do as a job. She is studying for her degree and where she is living they have a cleaner to hoover, clean the showers and toilets and empty the bins. My daughter always talks to her and the lady said it was so unusual for that to happen as most people do even acknowledge her.

I got a sty for the first time last year when my immune system was struggling, and the second time a few months after (haven’t had one since then.) just wanted to tell you that I promise it’s less noticeable than you think, and I’m sorry you’re going through that because it feels so uncomfortable!
I just wanted to say that I appreciate when RUclips creators talk about health stuff because I think it contributes to less stigma for all of us, and makes me feel less embarrassed about normal health stuff too ❤

It might not be your vibe but it might be helpful for someone to see this… using shutters inside can be an easy and interesting way to cover a frequently opened wall. For exsample if you have plumbing issues and have to open a wall to access the pipes, then the shutters can allow you access with out having to re-drywall every time. In my childhood home we had access to our bathtub due to a pipe that would leak (no matter how many times it was fixed or replaced) and the wall to open was in the stairwell by the back door. Dad put up shutters and decorated the stairwell as a cottage. It made it seem intentional and gave easy access anytime there was an issue with the tub. 😊

So old wives trick to help heal a stye faster - if you wear a gold band ring - take the band of the ring and rub it over the stye - something to do with your bodies chemistry and chemical reaction with the gold that helps heal a stye. Always worked for me. Sending healing vibes! 😊 🙏 so happy for you all that your kitchen is finally done! ❤

The stye is just oxalates the same as in kidney stones
Milk and dairy calcium helps to absorb oxalates
Also all kidney stones cure herb teas are good
And just heat like warm water in the shower helps

    • @hiwelcometochillis2579

Check high oxalates foods in your diet to identify what is causing them
In general is based seed milks and Swiss chard

25:23 Literally so random, but noticed the baby mirror and had to comment. The best thing we ever discovered when we had our little one was BABY CAR CAMERAS. Those mirrors are terrible! They shake, they slide, I felt like I couldnt see clearly enough to relax and feel like my LO was safe. Baby cameras provided a way clearer image of what was going on back there and I didn’t have to stare into my rear view for ages to get peace of mind. Highly recommend!

Oh, Macenna. I saw your stye when it first started and I didn't know you had never had one before. My daughter gets them, too.
As soon as we notice one coming on we get a washcloth with hot water(as hot as you can stand) and she leaves it sit one her eye for 5 to 10 minutes at a time a few times a day. As one side cools, turn the wash cloth to the inside for a fresh hot spot.
It doesn't always get rid of them completely, but it makes them stay smaller, and they go away faster.
