I went out on the rainy day and stupidly I thought my iPhone 12 was waterproof, I lived stream in the rain for about an hour. Then I went home to sleep and plugged it in the charger, iPhone said water detected, won't charge. I took the iphone cover out, cleaned up all the moisture around the phone, blew dry from far distance for a bout 30 seconds and put into the sack of rice for 5 minutes. After those, it worked again.
while this is true, the charger can freak out from other things. first the charger can simply be dirty from the lint in pockets and it uses this symbol to warn you about liquid. however as you know lint isnt water, so you just have to take a tissue, make the end narrow and stick in the port, move it around a few times, and you should be good. this happened to me since i thought there was liquid and there wasnt. but the tissue removed some of the lint on there. be safe!!
I have xs but my phone is not fell in water but it do not charge due to water problem I don’t know the problem and some time my phone charge well and some time it show issue

Turns out it was my charger and not my phone😂😂
