You damn right. I don't know who pick them up for the role but he's a genius. I watched The Conjuring 1 a week ago. And what makes me want to watch Conjuring 2 is them even before the genre of the movie. I love horror movies but The Conjuring is way better because you really care about them.
My mom says she had Freddy, Jason and Micheal Myers in 80s and those were the scariest of scary movies, i cant wait until I'm in my 40s with kids and tell them how scary the Conjuring movies were
The scene in the Conjuring 2 where the nun thing is standing at the end of the hall and just looking at Lorraine is straight up nightmare material. It's HORRIFYING.
This movie shocked me with how scary it was! I watched it in the cinema and so much of it stayed with me, especially the wardrobe scene. Aside from James Wan, I think the cast really helped. The children especially were superb! The scene where Christine screams after seeing the witch behind the door actually gives me goosebumps! Great actress!
I'm really glad to see Lili Taylor in this movie among others in this movie. A lot of people would probably say that she's underrated as an actress as in you rarely see her in movies as critical as this but that's the acting world for ya. I'm just really glad to see her in this movie because her character was really strong and she played that well with the great talent that she's always had. I really loved her character and Vera Farmiga's.
There was a trailer part and the interview was speaking and she went “aha” and I have headphones on and I screamed. My friends said my screams during the 2 movies were sometimes scarier then the actual movie!!
The art of making a movie is beyond what you can see. It makes it even scarier when you see it's based on a true story and that a spiritual world is real. People has gone through these dark experiences and only when you go through it you realize how frightening and real it is. Stop trying to look so brave saying it didn't even scare you people. Hope you never go through anything like that in your lives.. You may want to rethink your skepticism, God and the Devil are real and you choose which one to follow
This was a really good movie because, like the interviewer said in the movie, there is no gore, no violence, no foul language, and no sex...almost unheard of these days! Definitely one of the best horror films of the 2000s!
Can honestly say the trailer alone scared the crap out of me. Love scary movies and the fact that this one doesn't rely on gore and weapons to scare you is awesome. The paranormal and spirit factor always scares me the most, so to say i'm excited for this is an understatement.
this was a very good movie worth watching, need more movie like this. i was freaking scared to dead with the doll and hide and clap moments and afraid approaching my closet after watching lol. all characters did a very good job, applause
This movie was amazing. Throughout it I actually felt scared and I kept thinking to myself when is this going to end? No horror movie has ever done that to me. A must see for those who are fascinated by the paranormal like I am and those that just like a good horror movie.
and i loved the movie. im a "scary" movie freak. have been since i was 5! and this is the first good scary movie i have seen in a while. i recommend it for shore
When I saw Lili Taylor in The Conjuring, her face was very familiar, but I couldn't pinpoint where I have seen her before. I now just occured to me that she was Rose in Dogfight.
My first home had some creepy odd happenings. One hot summer night i opened our bedroom window by about 5 inches and climbed into bed and during the night a bat flew in and was flying around the room and fortunately my husband managed to guide it back out using a large towel, lol. Weeks later i was in another bedroom removing old wallpaper and discovered that the previous owners had painted one wall black with lots of white bats. The house also had a feeling of dread. We no longer live there.
I've gotten really over Hollywood lately and the movies that have been coming out but when I heard this was about the Warren's I had to see it and was very pleased. It was a very good movie and seeing the reactions from people in the theater was hysterical. The only thing that bugged me was the doll lol I hate dolls and I know they changed it on purpose for that reason because the real Annabel doll is a raggedy anne. I would totally go see this again and can't wait for the DVD
i remember seeing this in theatre, i only saw a tv spot for the hand clap scene.. i wasnt much interested even though i LOVE horror, but at the time, only Sinister had spooked me pretty good... this movie idea was a date with a girl.. The Conjuring scared the ever living shit outta me LMAO that wardrobe scene stuck with me for along time.. and then the conjuring 2... and annabelle creation... the only 3 films to really put fear into me and i had to go home and watch something light and funny to forget what i just seen
The Shining is my all time scariest movie, if I had seen it in a theatre I would have hidden most of the way through. I have watched it a bunch of times but still cant see it alone!
When first launched last June, The Conjuring with only $ 20 millions budget, the film was going to fix this rolling 100 millions box office milestone and is rated 7.9/10 on Imdp.
Sorry I meant I dont know if The Tunnel is still on YT. I enjoy some Asian horrors too, & are usually much better than the US remakes. The Eye is great, but have heard the remake is disappointing. Have you any recommendations?
Is this movie based on real life events?? I just watched conjuring today and GOD it's scary. yeah I know I watched it so late quarantine forced me to collect a lot of movies so that's it watching movies every day.
Actually....That old lady is Lorraine Warren.....portrayed by Vera Farmiga in the film. She was the one who ( along with her husband ) investigated the happenings in the house. They also investigated the Amityville case. THIS one though....was their MOST intense.
I can't wait to see this film! All the "scary movies" that have been coming out the past few years have not been scary at all. I just don't get scared so the fact that this is getting an R rating due to the fact that it's just scary is really awesome.
james wan was born in malaysia...no wonder a lot malaysians here in malaysia love this movie..a lot of cinemas here have to add more shows for this movie...
Just watched it...didn't think it was as scary as it's hyped. I found The Devil Inside more scarier. But I got to say the acting was absolutely impeccable.
Honestly I thought it was gonna be crap but this movie is by far one of the best scary movies everrrrr!! I definitelyyyyy recommend this to horror movie lovers!!!
I thank James Wan and the cast & crew of The Conjuring for a no-frills, genuinely scary movie. I was in a funk with horror movies--bored with hack'n'slash, jump-scare films with characters tripping onto the ground for no reason. A few films kept my faith alive (Kill List, Citadel, Resolution), but The Conjuring was just what the doctor ordered. Also, it was a well-directed film with great performances. People wanting blood n guts: there's tons of crappy movies from the past decade, all for you.
A priest shows up. When I went to go see it they said that a priest was going to be there in case of spiritual guidance. When I went to go see it the priest watched the movie and once the movie ended, he did some kind of spiritual blessing in the whole theater. No one was allowed to leave once the priest was finished.
That scene with the youngest daughter saying that she saw a lady in a dirty nightgown standing over the foot of her mom's bed isn't in the movie, is it? I don't remember that at all and I just watched it less than a week ago.
can someone briefly explain lorraine warren's story? like i know i would find out by watching the movie but like what actually happened with her? (basically asking why people think she is heroic?) I'm just curious! thanks :)
I still wanna know which parts are real though. Bathsheba died an old woman and didn't hang herself. She even lived long enough to see her son marry. They don't tell about the sewing needle she supposedly used to kill an infant in her care or the brand mark of a circle on the back of the mothers leg from a sewing needle supposedly done by Bathsheba. And the little boys name was Oliver that April played with not Rory. The original house is actually smaller than the one in the movie and the Perron family lived in that house for 10 years. They said that they felt like they belonged there and didn't wanna move even after everything that was happening. Oh and it wasn't birds that would kill themselves, it was bats.
Patrick and Vera's chemistry is amazing. They casted them perfectly.
I guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was dumb lost the password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!

To make a movie so scary and unsettling without using gore etc, is a real talent. James is very good director 👏🏻
I love Patrick Wilson he's amazing in the insidious movies and in this. He reminds me of Chris pratt
he does look a lot like Chris Pratt!
+Cody Levey Youre not the only one. At first i actually thought that it WAS Chris Pratt until i looked on imdb lol
He also looks and sounds like that guy from teenage mutant ninja turtles
So I'm not the only one :v
Patrick Wilson gives me insane father figure vibes.
My mom says she had Freddy, Jason and Micheal Myers in 80s and those were the scariest of scary movies, i cant wait until I'm in my 40s with kids and tell them how scary the Conjuring movies were
I haven't seen it yet but I've heard it's the scariest movie out from this generation 😱😱😱😱
The scene in the Conjuring 2 where the nun thing is standing at the end of the hall and just looking at Lorraine is straight up nightmare material. It's HORRIFYING.
Why the media didn’t mention lily tayler more ... she was leading role in movie with Vera and patrick
My legs had goose bumps the whole time. No movie has ever done that to me. Well played out.
Vera Farming is so pretty! And such a great actress! This is definitely an underrated movie! WORTH WATCHING & VERY SCARY.
Lili Taylor was in The Haunting, Patrick Wilson was in Insidious, Vera Farminga was in Orphan... These actors are perfect!!
Scared the s*** outta me, great movie
Vera's laugh.. *
James Wan is the only authentic horror genre director left of this generation
also the guy who made heredity, that one takes a deeper dive into cult demonology stuff which I loved
It's been a long time I've actually see an interesting interview like this.
This is one of the scariest movies I have ever seen!

The conjuring is now my faverouite move
Sameeee😉😜😂

So scary I had to leave my light on haha
Patrick Wilson knows how to deal with Opera Ghosts quite well :)

This movie is great, very underrated.
This is one of the best Horror films i've seen and something about Vera Farmiga made her perfect for her role
I have never watched this movie and the fact that it is based on a true story makes it all that more awesome.
I want to be in a James Wan movie so bad. :(
This film and The Amityville Horror are the only to horror films the to have me clinging to my chair the whole time. Well done.
This was a really good movie because, like the interviewer said in the movie, there is no gore, no violence, no foul language, and no sex...almost unheard of these days! Definitely one of the best horror films of the 2000s!
agreed!
Lili Taylor is so underrated I think she’s an amazing actress
The conjuring is DAMN scaring, but it was a great movie to watch!
I was 17 when this movie came out and to this day it’s one of THEE scariest movies I’ve ever seen
I watched "The Shining" in the daytime. I almost fell out of myself. Vera, where are you?
The shit that happened with the sound at 10:04 had me crying
The R-rated fact at the beginning interested me a lot, can't wait to see this!
Loved this, one of the best films ever.10/10
Can honestly say the trailer alone scared the crap out of me. Love scary movies and the fact that this one doesn't rely on gore and weapons to scare you is awesome. The paranormal and spirit factor always scares me the most, so to say i'm excited for this is an understatement.
It was hard to sleep after watching the movie.
I love Patrick and Vera😘😘😘
Watched it at night time, scary for sure.
Good job James Wan! Can not wait till it comes to DVD and Blu-ray!
James is an amazing horror movie maker.. he knows exactly how to use jump scare and background score...👌👌👌
Asians know scary making James the perfect director for horror movies
Vera is so elegant and lovely
Absolutely scary! Great job!! and very well done Mr James Wan!
LOL how many times can one interviewer say "It's rated R because it's too scary" in two minutes.
this was a very good movie worth watching, need more movie like this. i was freaking scared to dead with the doll and hide and clap moments and afraid approaching my closet after watching lol. all characters did a very good job, applause
I even knew what was gonna happen then and it still scared me...
omg as soon as i found out that lili taylor was in it, i've started counting down the days till i get to watch it!!
watched it and is easily the scariest movie i have ever seen
Lily Taylor is such a great actress of scary films. I loved this movie, my favorite scary movie of these modern times.
This movie was amazing. Throughout it I actually felt scared and I kept thinking to myself when is this going to end? No horror movie has ever done that to me. A must see for those who are fascinated by the paranormal like I am and those that just like a good horror movie.
Always awesome interviews Jake!
my girlfriend showed this to me tonight. it wasn't as scary as i thought it would be, but i'm not complaining. IT WAS GREAT
and i loved the movie. im a "scary" movie freak. have been since i was 5! and this is the first good scary movie i have seen in a while. i recommend it for shore

The Shining is my all time scariest movie, if I had seen it in a theatre I would have hidden most of the way through. I have watched it a bunch of times but still cant see it alone!
Lorraine was there to watch them act out the terrible and traumatizing experiences that she had in that house. And she still wants to go back.
Yes, he was born in malaysia but raised in Australia.

I SO want to see this!!
The movie "An American Haunting" was also based on a True Story. It was the first ever demonic case that actually killed a human.
"It's not about me and my dreams of doing nothing."
james wan was born in malaysia...no wonder a lot malaysians here in malaysia love this movie..a lot of cinemas here have to add more shows for this movie...

This is a pretty good movie. It's nicely paced so they don't overdo the scares.
Cant wait to see this. Its getting great reviews.
The stuff that you can't explain scares the shit out of me
did anyone notice the doll in the backround was staring DIRECTLY at you. pretty cool.
The "old lady" is Lorraine Warren the original ghosthunter.. Genius
I'm in this movie during the lecture scene!!
MAN I hate scary movies but Jake you actually make me want to see it!

I never knew about the Jaws/Galveston thing and I live like 40 minutes away!!! I need to visit soon!
Lorraine Warren! So excited for this!
That scene with the youngest daughter saying that she saw a lady in a dirty nightgown standing over the foot of her mom's bed isn't in the movie, is it? I don't remember that at all and I just watched it less than a week ago.
Can't wait to see it
I saw it last night... My house creaks and I couldn't sleep. But it was a stupendous movie
Hey there! Vera has finally made a official twitter account!!! Spread the word! @farmiga_vera yay
can someone briefly explain lorraine warren's story? like i know i would find out by watching the movie but like what actually happened with her? (basically asking why people think she is heroic?) I'm just curious! thanks :)
