It was actually a pretty damn good called game. The ravens defense is legit. Multiple all pros. To drop 27 on them and control the ball is a win. Can’t score 50 every week
3rd quarter play calling wasn't great. That last offensive series at the 2 wasn't either, got too cute there and could've cost us the game. BUT the rest was great
I didn't like the 2nd half as it was happening. I think I write every week pregame and during the game that I hate the screens were the receivers are the blockers. Every now and again one to Shakir looks good, then you get Shaver against the second team, and this weekend other teams made them work. But I think the offense would get rid of 60% of its useless plays if they would stop calling the wide receiver blocking screens. I also don't like running from the shotgun from the two yard line. Now that has been more successful. You can see an example even on a Josh run earlier in the game. This game the problem was more a lack of intuition. Logically it might make sense that running a previously successful play with a slight variation would work. But as they broke in the huddle I saw failure in running and was just hoping Josh would run under center at the last moment and sneak in a QB sneak or play action to the end. It wouldn't surprise me if every Bills fan expected a run from the shotgun to be sniffed out by the Ravens. That play could be considered the worst of the game even if it was logical.

For sure, but one of the things that got Dorsey canned was the constant shotgun in short yardage critical situations. And Brady pulled that sin last night and kept us from going up 31-19. Based on the interview, I think he wants that decision back, so hopefully he doesn't do that again.
Kind of surprised nobody is talking about 1 penalty and that 1 penalty being a horrible call. Way to play a clean game with no real penalties and no turnovers.

And Brady answered that work was the same for him, wife & kids saw him slightly less --> that doesn't sound like a dude eager to leave, or at least not for the opportunities he has. I hate shotgun plays that close to the goal line. You’re just asking for something bad to happen. Giving the defense tons of time to plug a hole. They know they have to shoot any gaps if you run. Also the play action is less effective imo than under gun which is also very strong near end zone. Thankfully that 3rd down call didn’t cost them the game. Wasn’t a great offensive game, but they did just enough. Not bad against a great defense. Actually pretty solid from a points standpoint. Next week is a tougher test on road in a sense. Let’s go!!
It was great win But I didn’t like how they played 3rd quarter first two drives.. you know Ravens are going to stay in box and trying to stop the run.. why didn’t we prepare for those and be able to move the chain?? That was too conservative calls and if we had 2-3 first downs it would be lot better. Allen was too stationary and no threat on disrupt secondaries.. they were just ready for short pass or stop the run which Allen is rarely involved??? Almost cost Bills Lost
That 2nd half won’t cut it next week. Need the receivers outside to step up. Guarantee chiefs will attempt to take away the middle of the field like Baltimore did in the 2nd half. Cooper and Coleman have been non existent.
It won’t beat the Chiefs to throw only 13 forward passes and 8 at or behind the line. That only beat the Ravens because of their three turnovers. In the first game, the Chiefs held Bills RBs to 19 carries for 49 yards. Let Josh pass this week.
I'm probably in the minority but I reall don't trust this guy. He's looking good because of what Josh is capable of. A lot of plays happen off script and it helps him look good. To me it's like a lot of good teams make him nervous or something. The chance was there to put Baltimore away and he almost blew it with his playcalling. There were quite a few times his playcalling would get very conservative when the Bills have leads. Teams would actually start making comebacks and he's still being conservative. The game could be so easy for Josh but as usual coaching is holding him back. I'll bet my last dollar that guys like Knox, Kincaid, Cooper, Samuels, and Hollins, would strive on other teams and do far more with qb's that are slightly below Josh. I've got to witness all of their potential this season. The problem is they're not used consistently. Cooper should be featured far more. The sad thing is everybody was saying that Diggs all of a sudden was losing a step. The problem is the coordinator didn't know how to scheme him open. The blessing will be that somebody hires him and the Bills find a real offensive coordinator. I dont trust this guy.

I keep telling people he's surviving off of Josh's improvising skills. A good o coordinator wouldve put the Ravens away in the second half. He was very conservative in the second half and the Ravens shouldn't have been able to have a chance to tie the game. My opinion is Brady is vastly overrated. There were plenty of games this season when teams crawled back into games because the offense can't figure out how to use their weapons. Kincaid, Cooper, Knox, Samuels, and Hollins would be much better with a real o coordinator. How can you not get one of the best route runners in the game the ball. That everyone eats bs is basically go play street ball and Josh hit whoever is open. You need a guy you should be scheming open. This guy is surviving off of Josh. I dont trust his playcalling. During the game you could see that football turn into a dense, slick, slippery greased pig...tough to protect! But job well done by all!
