Good day Peter, I am pleased to hear that your procedure went relatively well. My name is Nadine and I live in a suburb of Montreal Quebec Canada. I found your RUclips channel while researching the internet for information on neuro-endocrine tumours. My husband was diagnosed with pancreatic neuro-endocrine tumour, Stage 4, grade 1&2. When I watched your first video, I must admit I truly understood what you and your family were experiencing because we had been there ourselves in August of 2017. For the last several months the only treatment available for my husband was the sandostatin analog injection every 28 days. Last February his health started to decline so his oncologist decided to referred him to a university mega hospital surgical team. It’s been a very stressful journey but the decision is now made they will remove this huge tumour that is sitting on the tail of his pancreas sometime in September. We have made the decision to wait until then so we could both get our covid second dose vaccination and also take some time to enjoy life a little before we get started with a multitude of surgeries. Portal vain embolization will be the procedure that will follow the pancreatic tumour removal. I am sharing with you and your viewers so that you know you are helping us a lot by doing these videos. You are giving us hope and we are grateful to you for it. We will keep you in our prayers. Sincerely 🙏🇨🇦
Peter, for someone who likes to be in control, you're incredibly trusting of the medical profession. I wish I had as much faith in them. It's concerning they don't put patients under a GA for a PVE, particularly if they're potentially going to have conversations about how well the procedure is progressing during it.
Thank you for keeping us up to date on your journey. You are amazingly brave. All of your information is so valuable to us. You are in my prayers daily. God be with you.
You're my brother in Christ.. 🌸💐.. I will be at St Michael's Church in Camden London. Always pray for healing and a candle lit for all who are warriors. 🌸
Hi Peter, thank you again for the update. I think you come through as very reassuring for those patients who are due to have the same procedure. The situation is looking promising so keep those spirits up. Thinking of you.
You are so brave Peter! So admire your tenacity, optimistic attitude and calm demeanour as well as your selflessness in always trying to reassure others who are experiencing a similar journey. The Lord is with you and keeping you strong 💪🏼 Prayers for your upcoming Liver Resection and full recovery back to complete health… totally cancer free in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ! With love and blessings to you and your whole family from here in Australia. God Bless! 🙏🏼✝️🕊❤️🕊
You're just jogging right through.👍👍 Keep us updated on your journey. I find that you are always upbeat so refreshing in the world of cancer. Best to you.
Peter, I pray the liver surgery to remove the tumors is the end of this trying health journey, which you have navigated in such an admirable way. Another 4 weeks doesn't sound too terrible. Keep the positive attitude. Like you, I hardly know anything about body parts. LOL. But if I was in your shoes I would suddenly take an interest :) Rest up, you will do great in your final surgery.
I'm glad to hear you're past another hurdle. Not much fun. It's a bit disconcerting what they can do with you awake. Have fun with your film festival. I like disaster movies for this situation....Dante 's Peak, 2012, Twister, San Andreas....that kind of thing. Take care!
You amaze me with how calm you are.😊 I still can’t believe they inserted a needle into your ribs while you were conscious, and you had to ask them for pain relief. I’m happy to see you at home relaxing, be well Peter, thinking of you 🌹
You’re coming through these procedures like a real trooper, Peter. You’re going to sail through the rest just as well. Just continue to give yourself time to recover and heal. It’s hard when you are such an active person, I’m sure. Praying for continued healing. 🙏
Very glad to see you doing so well, and I'm looking forward to the successful outcome of your treatments. Continued prayers for your complete recovery and for a comfortable as possible journey throughout. Best wishes from California.
You are such a kind soul by thinking of people going through the same surgery while you have a lot of things to go through yourselves. And you finding the moments to inform us about your situation could be a challenge as well I must imagine. Step by step, day by day.. we all support you.
Hi Peter! I bet you are glad to have that procedure behind you! Give yourself time to recuperate! Thinking of you and sending you healing prayers from Florida!
Hi Peter im glad that's behind you, now we just the the liver surgery, and I think you will come through just fine, you are strong and healthy looking fingers crossed and lots of prayers you will be back to you again ..hugs..Mary in Canada 🇨🇦
Wishing you a full and speedy recovery from this procedure, and a great outcome from the forthcoming resection. Until then, take good care of yourself.
What a trooper you are Peter! You're making this look easier than I feel it must be and I'm so glad to see your spirits staying up. Sounds like you're in great hands with your team of doctors. I'll be checking here more frequently for updates when you head in for your next big procedure. Once again I want to thank you for sharing your journey and for teaching us all a lot. It's very intimate to share these types of details of your life with the entire online world to watch. I hope that your recovery from this is steady and as expected and no surprises. Love those new shoes too! Fab friends to get such a thoughtful gift that is suited so well to you. Hope you have a great week, pacing yourself and continuing to be so pragmatic and focused on getting through to the other side of all of this.
Hey Peter I believe your calm attitude and overall physical condition and emotional strength of character will see this put behind you soon. You are inspirational. Keep going the finish line is in your sights.
I have a friend whose wife has this, and i helieve my x boyfriend has it. Took him to the hospital yesterday. They need desperately to come up with something to diagnose earlier. Prayer for the patients and Dr's for progress in this process. 🙏
So good to see you looking so healthy after your embolisation, Peter. I’m not sure I’d want to go through that 🤔 because the idea of my liver being poked isn’t pleasant, but if I had to, and who knows, needs must! Don’t forget you’re probably going to need a few prunes again lol. Just a kind reminder 🙃. Really, I’m sure you’re relieved it’s over for now. Warm healing thoughts your way x ♥️🙏🏼♥️
Looking fantastic Peter. Well-done. I saw on your instagram that you had it done this week and was happy to hear. Now don't get mad at me, but there is some likely not-very-funny joke in this, but I can help but rather recommend a particular film with Anthony Hopkins. OMG. I can't believe I said that. Way to go Peter. One foot in front of the other, a single step at a time on this journey. You seem to have a wonderful and natural ability to stay mindful and present through each milestone. Can’t wait to celebrate your first running video after all of this! Cheering you on from Canada.
Great video, looks like a lot of people are on the journey with you. I've read a few articles on PVE, presume the next operation is pretty soon. All the best for the next op.
So glad your procedure went ahead on Wednesday and all is well. Two thirds of the way there now Peter and you're looking good!! Maybe not always feeling it though!! You're so right wanting to know exactly what's going on I am the same. Not a control freak at all just a vested interest in your own body! Take it easy rest up and as you say build up for the last hurdle. Take good care always.

@@PeterMRiley You are welcome
You're doing great, Peter. One more thing on the "to do" list checked off.
In your next video please can you do a quick recap of what your portal vein operation will accomplish in your recovery. You might have gone over it before but I think I missed that. Cheers.
Check out my video from 2 weeks ago 'MRI results'. I go over portal vein embolisation in detail.
Hi. Did they say why they just don't give u enough sedation so your not aware of anything? My Dad got chemo rt in the liver said it was very uncomfortable. Will be praying your next surgery goes well. We appreciate your educating us. Bless u🤗🤗🙏🙏
Thanks Sherry. I'm really not sure why you don't get more sedation.
Mine was turkey mayo sandwich and peaches. I gave it an 8.5 😊

All looks to be going to plan 👍🏻. Have you tried any complimentary therapies? If so, I’d love to know your thoughts.
