You'll do fine Alex 👍
This channel might just have saved my leaving cert
You've put in the hard work over the last 2 years, I only helped a bit towards the end. Best of luck!!
40 minutes to go, not ready for this 😅 thank you
You got this!
hour and a half to go, never too late
Hi there, I’m sitting the maths paper this Friday and find your videos very helpful. Just a quick question in relation to complex numbers and something you mentioned in this video. I am aware that when u multiply something by “i” it rotates anti-clockwise through the origin at 90 degrees. Does this mean that if you were to multiply by “-i” that it would rotate clockwise through the origin at 90 degrees? Also, what happens when you multiply by i^2? I ask this in the context of when you are asked to interpret an argand diagram. Many thanks, your videos are equally informative and helpful :)
Hi Darragh, yep that's exactly it! And when you multiply by i^2 it's a 180 degree rotation (direction doesn't matter for that). Thanks for watching and best of luck in your exams 👍
And if you think about it, i^3 is 270 degrees, which is equivalent to minus 90 degrees. And i^3 can be simplified to "-i", therefore "-i" goes minus 90 degrees (90 degrees clockwise)
@@MaxPicAxe absolutely correct! 👍👍
Cheers for this. Can you do an example of a really rotten differentiation question such as one with quotient rule product rule and chain rule. I'm not sure if the exam papers has many good examples.
Sure, I'll do one early tomorrow so you should have it after English P2
@@SimpleScienceandMaths Thank you that would be a big help.
Les goooo mr maye
Watching this for Friday praying I don't fail
You'll do great!!!
Thank you

Well here we are…😅
For proving the cosine rule, does it have to be in a unit circle or can you just use a triangle? We did it with a triangle but some people are telling me otherwise
I'm not 100% sure but I would suspect either way is fine, as long as your proof holds true it should be fine. I'll send an email to someone who will know the answer and let you know
I use unit circle anyway with one vertex at the origin another on the circle and another vertex outside the circle on the x axis. You dont need the unit circle for the sine rule tho
Yeah that's the way I do it too. I suspect that the other way is fine but I've emailed someone in the SEC to confirm, awaiting a reply and will let you know if they get back to me.
@@SimpleScienceandMaths i use a normal triangle too. So I'd say you're okay. Everyone in my school does it that way.
@@shanecoyle3676 cool thanks for letting us know, it probably comes down to what method is in different books. The more I think about it the more confident I am that either method is fine to use.
she's on in like an hour , sound for being my only bit of study for higher
Ha samesies
Would you be able to do that proof of deMoivre's theorem using induction?
Yeah I'll take a look at it tomorrow morning, should be a short enough video.
@@SimpleScienceandMaths Actually I just saw that it came in 2018(question 4). Does that mean it wont come up this year or is that not a given?
Certainly not a given that it won't come up. Some people would say it's very unlikely but if you were to ignore everything that came up last year you'd be taking a big risk
Anyone watching before 2022 paper
Yes
Cheers
No worries 👍
If your original answer was correct, but you changed it, would you get a high partial credit?
If all you changed was the answer but left all the workings then yes I'd imagine ypu would get the high partial credit
@@SimpleScienceandMaths That's great thanks sir
I'm doing Higher Level Maths for the junior cert and I find it fun but very difficult, the Algebra chapters are fine but I can't grasp Algebrabraic Factors. There just so confusing. I also do Higher Level Science(I study Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Earth and Space)and it is a piece of pie. I even got 89% on my 2nd year summer exam in it.
Science Score(Summer Exam):89%
Maths Score(Summer Exam):54%

Practice as much as you can with the factors. There's a few different ways of doing them so you can pick whatever one you find easiest. The box method is an easy way if you find them hard. I don't have a video on it but there's loads out there if you look
