      And thats just the problem. Bob Castelli is the James Dolan of the MLB. He's a billionaire cheapskate notorious for underpaying his players because hes only interested in making money and not winning games. The Reds are a fantastic business investment (because of the low overhead), and they dont need to play well for Castelli to make money.
      That's why all the talent the Reds get eventually leave. Enjoy de la Cruz for now Cincinnati because the second he's finished with his current contract he'll be wearing Yankee pinstripes.

    Jumped on the Reds bandwagon as soon as he debuted. This kid is absolutely insane. The speed, IQ, arm, fielding ability, power, contact are astonishing to witness. To top it all off he's having so much fun on the diamond. The MLB is going through a renaissance, I'm so excited for this second half.

    Being a reds fan my whole life, (only 24) I didn’t get to see all of the amazing teams of the past. But man, watching this kid play is something special. He’s been in a bit of a slump, but my goodness is he unbelievable. This whole team is young and just full of energy and excitement. Bunch of dudes who just want to play baseball. Reminds me why it’s always been my favorite sport.

      Him and Votto are two totally different players. And Elle is way more physically gifted. Votto on his best day vs Elly on his.. I think you'd see a significant gap. He's not the Red's next Votto, that's kinda underestimating this kid. He is the Red's FIRST Elly De La Cruz

    Never been a Reds fan. From the PNW so I was always a Griffey fan. When Griffey went to Cincy, I bought a Cincy hat. Watching Elly is the closest I have ever been to following the Reds since Griffey went there. He's just exciting to watch no matter what he is doing.

All the time actually. I'm happy he's doing well... But he's not winning games for the team. He's not a game changer. He's a good player. I'd still take a good starting pitcher over him.

    I have yet to miss a Reds game since he was called up. I even watched the video of him at the airport when coach told him he was going to the show. I plan on driving up there to watch a game a buy a jersey.

      Having family in Cinci I was in town at the end of June, that game on June 30 was electric to be at. This game was something of an 18th birthday and graduation present. I ended up purchasing a City Connect hat and was previously bought a jersey, really happy to have attended that game.

    I was all a Braves Fan back in the 1980s and 1990s living in KY with no MLB Team. I used to also like the Reds because of Eric Davis. After He was traded I quit I following them. Now Elly has Turned Me back to watching the Reds.This Guy is Electric.

    Big pimpin! No wonder Pete Rose is fired up. He is some sort of demigod. I heard a genetics lab had been acquiring hair samples from various top atheletes. Unknowingly, it was rumored, One was a success, a Rickey Henderson and Griffey jr.clone was created, before the lab was closed. Could this be? I could almost question a Jordan possible presence, only, if the hair factor wasn't such an obsticle. Amazing talent!

    As a Dominican, I had been a Yankees fan since the 2009 great infield but stopped watching the big leagues after Jeter/Cano left. I have watched Elly since the 2022 Dominican Winter League and the day I went to see him play the Reds decided to sit him down. I have watched every Reds game highlight after the announcement of Elly going up. Now identifying myself as a Reds fan

    I've been a hardcore hockey fan since the early 2000's. I would have never thought that Baseball would be the more exciting sport a few years down the road, but here we are. Shohei, De La Cruz, Tatis, Acuna Jr, we're totally blessed and I'm missing so many greats. Pitch clock was a great move.
