D-Lab Training Grounds is a series in which I create builds for dinosaurs and pit them against each other in a set of three exhibition matches per video in order to showcase every dinosaur's full potential and just show how fun the Dinosaur King Arcade game really is.
How are moves decided?
Moves are decided using a random number generator app from my phone, in which 1 and 4 are rock, 2 and 5 are scissors, and 3 and 6 are paper.
Team 1:
Paris Recovery
Rock: Happy Omelette
Paper: Counterattack Recovery
Scissors: Light Recovery
Explanation: First Dinotector Dinosaur, this build is mainly made for survival until Paris can use Ultimate Leaf, which works out pretty well with the recovery type she has available, which lets her heal even more.
Ampelosaurus Counter
Rock: Dino Stuffer
Paper: Move Breaker
Scissors: Tragic Sphere
Explanation: Ampelosaurus is just amazing all around with its attack stats, add counter type to it and any attack it hits is gonna hurt a lot. With Dino Stuffer, it can take one critical move without taking damage and then counter attack, and with Move Breaker, it can cancel out the moves that boost power so that it doesn't take as much damage in certain scenarios, or prevent the opponent from getting a boost of any kind.
Utahraptor Attack
Rock: Dino Illusion
Paper: Mayfly
Scissors: Elemental Power
Explanation: Utahraptor is pretty much a slightly worse Megaraptor, but that still makes it one of the best dinosaurs in the game. It is still a threat and Mayfly is always just a very powerful move, especially powered up by Elemental Power.
Team 2:
Daspletosaurus Blitz
Rock: Critical Block
Paper: Attack Boost
Scissors: Fire Bomb
Explanation: Blitz Daspletosaurus flips between wet noodle attacks, to a ticking time bomb with its critical move. It cannot be understated how much a blitz powered Fire Bomb hurts, especially if it gains an attack boost from... well... Attack Boost. And with Critical Block it can gain an advantage that could allow it to get an attack off.
Stegosaurus Attack
Rock: Quake Saber
Paper: Earth Barrier
Scissors: Anhanguera Dive
Explanation: Stegosaurus is just one of the best dinosaurs in the game. This set is pretty basic, but it is the best or second best user of it. Scissors is a very flexible slot, and to not used Elemental Power for the third time in this video, I gave it Anhanguera Dive instead.
Pentaceratops Lethal
Rock: Lightning Ax
Paper: Gatling Spark
Scissors: Elemental Power
Explanation: Pentaceratops is dumb, like a really dumb dinosaur. It is undoubtedly, the BEST lightning dinosaur in the game. The stars pretty much aligned for this dinosaur when it comes to its stats, typing, and crit. It can pretty much run whatever it feels like and still do an insane amount of damage on its opponents. Gatling Spark is pretty much the most dangerous thing it can run, and it can run it GOOD.
