  • AQA Required Practical for GCSE combined science or chemistry. Investigate how changes in concentration affect the rates of reactions by both measuring the volume of a gas produced and monitoring a change in colour or turbidity.
    Edexcel Core Practical
    Practicals are 15% of your exam grade, this could be the difference between a grade 4 and a grade 5 or the difference between grade 7 and grade 9. There isn’t a large amount of content but there are a lot of skills that can be tested, to help you with this I’ve made videos of all the practical and written a workbook full or exam style questions.
    AQA students can buy the book from Amazon (links below) students sitting other exam boards can get a free ‘top up’ ebook from my website www.primrosekitten.com/collec...

    I want to help you achieve the grades you (and I) know you are capable of; these grades are the stepping stone to your future. Even if you don't want to study science or maths further, the grades you get now will open doors in the future.

    The 'whole of the topic in … minutes' videos DO NOT comprehensively cover everything you need to know for your exams. It would be impossible to include 2 years of teaching in 1 hour. These should NOT be your only source of revision • Do the 'whole topic in... My exam predictions are just GUESSES!! I don't have any insider knowledge just years of looking at exam papers.
    Disclaimer; You should not carry out any of these practical’s without carrying out a full risk assessment of your own first.

    You are such an empowering woman, empowering women to love science. I feel as though we are well under represented in the science community! Good on you!

    Oh my good, I love your videos. You inspired me to write this comment and talk about how well I did on my exam. I got an A!!!!

    If they ask to calculate the total loss in mass of the contents from the graph how are you going to do that

    Could you please make a video on tips on how to answer investigation questions. So when they ask for variables or a reason why a specific instrument was used? Thank you!

    Is accurate the same as precise? So if they said, why would you use a data logger instead of a thermometer could you say it is more precise?

    • @Primrose_Kitten
      @Primrose_Kitten  8 лет назад

      +jg moore accuracy is the difference between the measurement and the real value, precise is the difference between measurements made

    • @poeticxrealm
      @poeticxrealm 8 лет назад

      So you couldn't say that a datalogger is more precise

      Carbon and oxygen atoms are used to make carbon dioxide, carbon dioxide is a gas so it is able to escape the mixture. So you are losing the mass of those carbons and oxygens.
