In the recent blade series series it's pretty much given away why blade is acting like this. After drinking Dracula's blood Dracula asked him did he "still feel human" & let's not forget the sword he was carrying. He was warned that there was a price to pay for using that sword, so none if what's going on with blade shoud Come as a surprise to anyone who read that series.
That's exactly what I've been thinking
Not just any curse blade. The Lucifer blade aka the sword of evil
Didn't Adana seem happy when Blade finally beat her, too?
Blade is possessed by Varnae, and currently not carrying the Lightbringer sword.
He's being used as a vessel. The red band version confirms this.
he isnt' blade anymore. he's Varnae wearing a Blade suit.
It's really just King In Black with vampires
I loved KIB 😂.. this idk
The way Blade is talking, he sounds like a villain who's been around for millennia. I wouldn't be surprised if Varnae had something to do with this. Deep cut, I know. But the mention of Atlantis got me thinking he sounded like he was there.
Varnae makes sense as he tried to take Blade's body once when he was a spirit during Blade's Night Stalker appearance, but failed and took over Night Terror's body instead. Night Terror was a vampire assassin.
@@DEITYOFTIMEANDINFINITY6080 The “This is my work. I have been planning this for thousands and thousands of years” is a _wee bit_ of a tip off
What if blade in Dracula pulled a freaky Friday. During the time he drank Dracula's blood
Blerd addressed it in the first Blood Hunt video. Since Dracula has a sovereign Vampire nation, he wouldn't have to do (or want to do) all the stuff that Evil Blade is doing. Also, I don't think Blade as Dracula would play games with Bloodline by not revealing his identity.
A freaky Friday is crazzzzy 😂🎭
Ernie, love you brotha, you keep pumping out great video after great video, been following for YEARS, John Robbins, fell off for a while but I'm back again. Thumbs up people show the love
5:54 🤣 this is where I subscribe and like the hell out of this video! Thanks for being real
Very true 💯
Literally me 💀
Yeah it was obvious from issue one that Blade that was talking different, and that in all likelihood he was either possessed or some evil baddie (Adana?) is cosplaying as Blade.
When I noticed Blade talking verbosely to Dr. Strange I was actually relieved. The way he sounded was as if he was someone else entirely (or enlightened by some person or effect), and to me, to EVER realistically be the villain, it would make sense that some secondary reason made him act this way.
As ro who/what, I have a few ideas. It doesn't have to necessarily be the Adana directly puloting or possessing Blade, but the fact she was so pleased with herself while being defeared, it would make sense that she could be that last straw that broke Blade and opened him to some other ancient malevolent force that is aligned with what she wanted to achieve anyway.
It actually made me like the book more, and am set up to be annoyed if they claim/reveal that Blade is acting of his own volition. It also would make sense that pausing the Blade series to give us this carries over consequences from it regarding carrying a corrupting sword around and being changed by Dracula's blood.
Idk, to me it's almost obvious Blade has been possessed (although I prefer to wait until it's confirmed). In the Red Band version of #2, Carol demands Bloodstorm One to say what happened to Blade, and Bloodstorm One replies "Blade? The master. He has become what he was always meant to be. A vessel. The vessel for our dreams of the unending night". Also the way he keep mentioning Atlantis and the pre-cataclysmic era, just makes me think it might be Varnae or someone similar.
Like I said in the last video, there was no reason to think that this was blade.
If you read his last series you'd know why he's acting this way.
@ODGtheToyman1974 The one where Blade drinks Dracula's blood and gets new cool powers so he could fight the Adana? I may have read a issue or two. 😂
Im sure they wanna retcon an idea or too... a twist or 3 😂
Tell us how you really feel Blerd
He went nuts 😂
I said it before, I'll say it again= I think Blade is possessed. I was thinking it's the oldest vampire, Varnae. I didn't think of Adonna(sp?), mainly because I wasn't really reading the recent book, just peeking in now and then.
I think your on to something with Varnae. I remember there was a character named Night Terror and Varnae's spirit wanted to posses Blade's body seeing that it would allow him to walk in daylight, but the plan failed and Varnae's spirit instead inhabited Night Terror's body instead. It was an old comic story line don't remember if it was early 90's but I think it was during Blade's Night Stalker appearance. Varnae can also control vampires from a great distance with the exception of Dracula.
In regards of the pose Greg LAInd was using (yes, I had to put AI in there for the running gag) for Dagger, it was off of the pose for Dark Phoenix in the infamous X-Men cover.
Yes, Blade is notoriously the strong silent type or the streetsmart guy who has been around for a while
"My Children" Blade said "My Children"! It's CHTHON as vampires were created via the DARKHOLD and that's his link to the mortal realm so if it's not a clone like I 1st thought then it's the 'Elder God'
More like Varnae not Cthon even though he created the darkhold
@@keemkeem3820 THANK YOU, I had the semlier idea about the Atlantians(the cult or person that used the DARKHOLD) but I just couldn't remember the name's of any of them so yes VARNAE makes far more sense specially if Marvel is doing these ancient evil stuff phase
Spectrum nuff said
Exactly
Different covers matter for the simple fact that both the raw and graded value of the particular comic varies depending on the variant; for all my rookie collectors.
I can't help but wonder if this is meant to be Blade's Emerald Twilight...
Where does Moonknight's crew fit in on this? His homies are vampires.
I think Reese and Soldier (the vampires) are staying home, guarding the mansion. It looks like Tigra and Hunter's Moon are the ones out fighting vampires.
Blade was literally waxing poetically about being alive for centuries - that should have been your 1st clue
If blerd gives it a shout, i'll give it a shot... lets see what the wolverine and laura tie ins are like.🤔🤔
Great new Blade content happy Memorial Day Friday/Weekend
Red Band Comics: Rated M for mo’ money
~_~
Don’t know if it’s been said yet, but maybe switchblade has returned. Obviously the darkhold is not in play here but maybe the training from Dracula unlocked that personality
Ntm on Blade you’re sounding very unorthodox and weird but it cool, he’s still one of my favorite Marvel characters ever
I’m going to follow blood hung as soon as it comes out on marvel unlimited
Hung 😂☠️😭
With the tie-ins and the Avengers punching a hole in the Darkforce cover, I'll try to think of several of the events happening so close together (despite the many books and months this will span) that several characters able to dispell the darkness WILL do so, and will have done it around the same time as CM and Vizh did.
I can accept that even though Jubilee isn't the pushover people think she is from the cartoons, that sending plasmoids miles into the air wouldn't be quite as effective as a closer ranged feat. Same with Dagger; does her glow reach so far that it has a cloud busting range? With Dazzler I can see it because she's proven her range in the past when amped up with enough sound. Monica Rambeau for sure can fly up there and have a very wide radius of effectiveness.
That said, the simple question would be a matter of sustained effectiveness. The Darkforce weilders are seemingly continuously pumping out darkness, so it would not be a surprise if the Avengers' hole closes back up.
It begs the questions whether a) their ligjt can affect enough surface area to unenvelop the entire Earth, and b) how long they can keep it up before the darkforce covers it back up. The darkness may also be a catalyst that wasn't meant to stick around for the entire series anyway, but we were meant to worry about it because it couldn't be so easily magicked away.
If it is dispelled so completely by light casters, I'll call BS on the fact that Dr. Strange felt he had no choice but to use a vampire-genocide spell before making a few phone calls to the many shiny associates he knows.
I agree, I'm thinking perhaps the Adana's Spirit, or Blade from the Ultimates Universe, or the Doppelganger!
the inconsistencies in the red band versions 😔
hoping they stick the landing and we at least have a good story to look back on
At 5:40 😂😂😂
Bloodhunt #1 was interesting
DC vs. Vampires, now Marvel taking BG it's turn! Following each other all the time
It's, not him the fact he doesn't have his shades on tells me that he is not the real Blade
Atlantis has been mentioned like 3 times in the first 2 issues. So it’s definitely something Atlantis related.
In your list of characters that could end this in a heartbeat, you left out Monica Rambeau AKA Photon. She was shown in Black Panther changing into solar radiation and just making short work of vampires in story there. I love seeing her appearances whenever possible. Did not care for the mini due to cutting out the Blue Marvel. She would be the most logical choice to fight vampires in my opinion.
The blade that blade is wielding is called lightbringer It's Lucifer's sword and it makes you proud and it makes you evil He was warned if he used it he would become a villain.. oh look at that He became a villain. That being said there was a fake blade years ago created in evil double ganger clone and didn't the one prophecy resurrect all the vampires?
if this is Blade after him killing The Adana and if he still has Lightbringer, of course he gonna be acting different. Especially now cause he seems more Vampire than Man now due to his training and drinking Dracula's Blood.
It would be kind of sick to give Blade an arc as Lord of the vampires and have him struggle to do with them what DD tried to do with the Hand
Blade: stake yourselves
One above all: we owe you a 🍻
Bro said diatribe 🤣💀
What if it's one of Deacon Frost's clones? Or Frost controlling him? Or Dracula controlling him through the blood? Just some guesses.
Or being possessed. With how Blade mentioned a plan for eons, I think it wouldn't be Frost or Dracula... they are too young for that. Varnae the first vampire is one that could been planning for eons.
@@Katzztar . Varnae makes sense as he tried to take Blade's body once when he was a spirit during Blade's Night Stalker appearance, but failed and took over Night Terror's body instead. Night Terror was a vampire assassin.
Let me just say as a fan or the comics lore but not an avid reader I appreciate you keeping us normies updated on what’s going on out there. One love
I'm not surprised miles got turned into a vampire unless they show it's a long drag out fight for blade to turn him I'm saying nah
Yeah probably will not put Dazzler or God Help the Vamps - FIRESTAR!! Probably over then.
Nullify this shit 😂
Turn him evil so that his daughter can kill him off and become the New Blade.
That shit would suck 😂 ... lets introduce:
• Damien to kill Batman
• Miles to kill Peter
• X23 to kill Wolvie 😂
• Cable to kill off Cyclops
• Franklin to kill Reed
@@c.h.5510 Miles is not a son of Peter so.
Unless i missed some funni retcon.
I'm just gonna take the wait and see approach....I have opinions, but I'll save them for later
my theory: the Blade movie was supposed to be out this year, featuring Blade's daughter as the protagonist. This was supposed to be an event that would also put Blade's daughter over the top
Ernie, if you were Disney would you do a Blade movie where Bloodline ends up being the new main Vampire Hunter and Blade presents her, kind of like X-23 on Logan or you do a Blade origin story?
He's acting like he's possessed. Someone has taken over his body. Maybe its Varnae or some other ancient vampire?
I'm going to let Jed MacKay cook! ;-)
...i wonder if the Unforgiven will make an appearance at some point?
I hope so, their appearance is long overdue.
Think this is a consequence of killing Adanna. He's talking like he is possessed
I really enjoyed Union Jack the Ripper, I feel like when it's full three issues are out, it's going to be a tie in that stands out. Hopefully Cavan Scott gets a MAX style Union Jack book after this event
Thank you, because i thought it was just me that Blade was not acting like... blade. If this is really his heel turn... welp, throw out the whole Daywalker.
...I feel like Jed MacKay is really getting his hands on everything and not doing anything to get my attention positively.
I fear the reason this whole event exists is to get the comic-fans/the die-hards to care about Bloodline/Brielle. Make her more powerful as you said &just make her more likable &even more of a bad-ass vampire hunter. Therefore when the M-She-U does its bait &switch the comic fans are more accepting of it cuz we've all heard about the script leaks &Blade being a side character. It seems like it might not be in this 1st film but the bait &switch is coming. I'd love to see Blade become so possessed or in such a blood-hungry state that he kills his daughter &has to go on as Marvel's version of Kratos. This event wants you to really turn off your brain &just go with it &that can be fun; we all need a bit more of that but not when it's in continuity
A 59 book crossover seems... Excessive.
Blade ... There's a lot of exposition. My guess is that he's possessed?
Very excessive.. especially if no key heroes, 1st app, big deaths, or lasting storylines are produced 😂
you are 1000% correct in your prediction Ernie. This is some serious BS.
Does that use of Jubilee's powers mean that she couldn't use her mutant abilities while she was a vampire?
I agree of this is actually our BLADE then this is going to be stupid af 😂
More, Vamperic!!!!!!!!!! Like The Serum, Is Hardly Working!!!!!!!!!!!!!
59 issues? Naw.... Passing on the cash grab
At first I thought this was tied to the Darkhold mini-series but I agree with others, it seems that Blade is possessed by some vampire entity. I have to say I’m tired of the “Dark *insert name here* trope is tiring.
This blade has diarrhea of the mouth.
👍🏿
Photon?????
I do not think this is really Blade.
Jojo siwa has made THAT big of a change so blade can as well😊
I am basically tired of evil blade I want this event to just end In my opinion
It just started!!!!
@@nodoze123 I know that
This is giving me Green Lantern in DC vs Vampires vibes....meh
The writer of Bloodhunt needs to reread the Tomb of Dracula, and understand what made that series and the crossovers in Doctor Strange must reads. Because I'm telling you now, this story is already inconsistent, and not consistently good.
I hit eject on this one early. I read Blood Hunt 1, and that was all I needed to see. Part was timing. Literally the previous week Blade 10 dropped, and my man was fine. The next week he's head of a vampire pyramid scheme and cutting Dr Strange in half. This feeling of whiplash, along with the sense that this was "King in Black" part deux, contributed to the I don't care of it all. The tie ins look weak. The red band version reminds me of gimmicks from the 90s that I didn't like back when. I really enjoy Mackay's comics, but I'm out.
I’m sorry but Blood Hunt is FAR superior to the entirety of Fall of X so far and it’s only issue 2 minus the tie ins
