True, which is why when you do massage you mostly put pressure from your waste and not your hands. I took have nerve inflammation due to another reason (working out too intensely in the past) and every now and then if I put too much pressure or make a sudden move on my wrist my nerve at my palm (below my thumb to be more accurate) causes pain and I have other issues as well .
