    I un-ironically cried at 5:27. My first year at berkeley was brutal and I developed such an unhealthy habit of comparing myself to my peers and deep imposter syndrome. I think I just really needed to hear from someone outside of my circle that I’m doing good and I’m not a failure for not having a plethora of stuff going on. It’s hard to even be proud of myself for studying my ass off and passing my classes. This video was very helpful in restoring my hope for next semester. ❤

    You are a true king! I am going through CS right now, and it is very tough, but I am glad to know that there are people like you out there that are willing to help and support others along the way:) Cheers man and go bears!

    I took CS61A and cried in John DeNero’s office!!! So I ceased taking CS at Cal and graduated last year in Conservation and Resource Studies in CNR...and now following my dreams of being a biotechnician....a very different path from computing. But I really love hearing stories and strategies about what it’s like to major in Computer Science at such a competitive school! You have such a sunny personality and a wonderful attitude and I think it’s evident that you have a lot of passion for the field!!!! Haha cheers! -Sel

    Soo, how was 61A with DeNero(if you took him) , do you have any other advice on that class specifically besides the great tips you gave us in this video😅? Thanks!

      I did take it with him! He’s a great lecturer, I would just say make sure you resolve any gaps in your understanding ASAP instead of waiting to do it while studying for the midterm. I made the mistake of not doing that and... well midterm season was pretty intense I’ll say that 😂

    I’m a transfer at Cal and Cal tests definitely a form of art, if you don’t understand thoroughly the materials you will be like wtf 😂😂 I used the way that I studied for college, college got me straight A but Cal got me straight to the increase of anxiety and depression lmao but feel super better now with your videos! Thanks!!

    Should I take CS 10 or data 8 before jumping into the lower division classes?

    • @conorrichard9829
      @conorrichard9829 5 лет назад

      Cosmin Deshmukh I’d definitely recommend Data 8

    • @masonic3006
      @masonic3006  5 лет назад

      Depends on your prior experience with computer science, CS10 can be helpful if you have no prior experience but most people say they get more value out of Data 8!
