    Depending on where you are from Ca to OR, if you rip the land, you will get english ivy, Bay trees, blackberries, and several other nasty shrubs and grasses.

    one of only benefits is english ivy is fall nectar source. Japanese Knot weed is another nasty. It pro is it has the highest concentration of resveratrol known. It amazes me that English Ivy is not on the top ten list in Lane county Oregon. What are the solutions? Goats? Hack and squirt herbicide in the Fall? Big hand tool crews? Plant identification knowledge in schools sure would help. We all have some level of nature deficit disorder to overcome.

    It took me a whole summer to kill off the ivy strangling my trees..felt good
